Where should one buy a CF Hood?
Got some christmas money and I may buy me a CF hood. I like the 07-08 any recommendations where to order from? Im looking at the ts seibon
or you could buy it from a local shop and support the local economy some too. They typically have competitive prices and are much easier to go through for warranty or support issues than some online discount shop
the only downside to ordering online is you dont always get what you order. the last TWO times i've ordered "seibon" carbon fiber hoods, from different sources, for different cars, i got VIS hoods.
now i only go to intec racing, they go direct with seibon so i know im getting the real thing!

there's typically a little bit higher cost associated with dealing with a local shop - but you have that piece of mind that they stand behind everything they sell and they will make it right without inconveniencing you too much. have fun shipping a hood back if it is damaged or wrong. My seibon hood was scratched in a few places, I simply dealt with it since it was so difficult to return. I bought mine online from a vendor who is now scamming people too (CVR). there's always that concern, someone slinging drop ship orders online could be unstable.
I've had damaged parts experiences both online and in-store. I go through VTR in everett for everything they are able to provide me now. sure, I have to pay sales tax, but they price competitively, and anytime anythings been wrong they've gone far beyond my expectations and made things right, at any cost to their business. the little bit extra is worth the piece of mind. it feels good to support the local economy and the local shops too. there are a lot of perks to developing a relationship with an auto shop too.

I've had great experiences with Intec Racing as well, they've stood behind everything they did and did it right. One of my HID ballasts even went out recently and they warrantied it no questions asked. Didn't even ask questions just gave me a new one.

dam maybe more people should post threads like this to get companies to start a price war lol!!! that being said i also say go local for this. Intec treated me well. If your against that my best online experiences have been with Intense Power. I was also at one point in time a local customer of theirs. (used to live in Arizona)
