Default Osiris tune on a basically stock VQ

Hey all, Just wanted to share what Osiris can do for our engine's even if you don't have a 800HP firebreather yet

Rundown:

A. - Sync throttle (my favorite change) This is a kick in the seat of the pants dyno as you feel much more connected to your "true" throttle inputs rather than what the ECU would like you do be doing.
B. - Open the throttle butterfly to 100% - see above.
C. - 5 Maps
1. Power (as Jeremy Clarkson would say: POoOOOOWWAAHHHHH)
2. Economy (where I spend most of my days lol)
3. Stock (for a dealer visit if needed)
4. Valet 60MPH limit w/3.5K rev limit
5. Theft - 1.2K rev limit, basically dies if you try and move her.
D. Smoothing the Air/Fuel maps out (seeing Nissan's stock map in GUI form is just UGO)

Overall, I am very happy with the results! A lil bit o power, with a touch of torque but truely a more alive feel to my throttle inputs. This is how the G SHOULD have come from the factory.

I will update milage gains (if any) soon as I have a long cruise'n day planned for Sunday to and after Golden Gardens

Pretty much stock, but why not

Decent for a stock-ish pull, next up...some breather mods!

That's a decent gain. I thought it can also bump up the limiter.

you can change pretty much any variable in the stock ecu so typically yes the rev limiter is raised (with a proper tune its safe to rev a little higher) and the speed limiter is removed. Last time I had cipher up it said my limit was 210.5mph, but I've only had it up to about 150

How much is one of these gonna run me?
Also would tuning an AT be a waste? I've got a lightly modified engine.

There is no difference in gains between MT/AT, you'll still see a very noticeable improvement in performance. Depends on the area but typically it costs $750 including dyno time

Everything can be set up through e-tunes, you just aren't able to customize it 100% on the dyno.

Yup, and you can certainly feel it, it's no turbo but as I mentioned, it really shows what the VQ should have been from the factory!

Danke, I figured someone had to do it, and with Intec right here I'd be a fool not to

yup, it gives you the option of selectively turning off any non-vital check engine codes, so for example you have straight pipe exhaust and no cats it can tell the ecu to ignore it and not throw the code

my auto vq35de z had full bolt ons and an osiris tune and honestly it felt like a huge waste of money for very minimal unnoticeable gains.

Please excuse my laziness for not searching, but how do you switch between maps? Can you do it on the fly?

you can do it on the fly. I don't remember exactly but I believe you hold down the control set button, and push the cruise control button X number of times for the map # you want. it is either that or the opposite : )

If you add in the transgo valvebody upgrade its pretty sick... will outperform any 6MT around

Hold down the cruise control button and press the cancel button the number of times for the map you want (IE 3 times = map #3), release the cruise control button and watch the cruise control indicator on the dash blink the number of times for the map you have selected to verify.

You can switch between maps anytime the ignition is in the ON position, as many times as you want, with no adverse effects.
