Moving From Hawaii To Seattle
Hello everyone,
I have a white, '05 350Z, Touring, 25k miles... I'm debating on moving to Seattle in November and whether or not I should sell my car or ship it. I'm not sure about the weather conditions and having a modified Z.
It will probably be a daily driven car and I'm not sure how the road conditions, how bad they are, steep driveways, etc. I heard an AWD car is best as well and white isn't the best color haha.
Sorry, I keep hearing I should do this, do that, etc etc but I figured I'd ask the pros.
Thanks in advance!
Chris
PS I'm not on the boards much so sorry if I lack a response.

Just from my windshield research I'd say z's are almost as prevalent as wrx's out here and as long as you don't own a black car...fml...you'll be just fine!
If ya do decide to come over let us know and we can put in orders for you to fill the Z up with on the boat over!

Depends where in Seattle you're moving.
There are some steep fuhking hills in the city. Unless you're comfortable with parallel parking on a 45 degree sloped hill in a manual car.
The roads are overall fine. I'm sure every city / town out there in the world has their 'rough' areas, but Seattle area isn't the worst.
Good thing your Z isn't convertable. If it was, that would suck. To be honest. It rains like 300 days a year here.
With that being said, your car being PPW, it WILL get dirty.
There's nothing wrong with having a RWD car. We do get the occassional snow / ice storm that lasts a week or two that screws us all over. It can't be helped.

Haha thanks guys!
I'm actually over modding my car to some extent so it never gets washed anyway :[ Growing up in Hawaii is great, but it's time to stop being spoiled and try to do things on my own. I think the only thing I won't be used to is not having my own garage to wash my car, change oil, etc. My car is automatic as well (don't shoot me) so it shouldn't be too bad parking. I hope haha.
It's been rainy and cloudy for the past several days so I guess it's a taste of the weather, minus the 60 degree weather of course.
I'm lurking Craigslist Seattle as well to see what's out there.
Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate the feedback!

^^^ lol
I guess I've decided to sell my Z and I've been lurking on Craigslist for a G35/37 sedan/coupe. Seems like a huge price difference between 06' and 07' models.
Thanks again guys
