Make sure to post your fastest lap time of the day too. You know.... for bench racing purposes.

Depending on how tomorrow's shake down goes I'll join you there next month.

I'm already planning on going to the one on August 10th (and prolly a few in between)

As far as laptime, my best with stock suspension was 1:15.9. Now I'll see how much springs and alignment will help... I'm also gonna turn down the boost at this next event though...

My best so far is a transponder verified 1:13.34 back in Sept of last year. Might be another half-second to gain if I finally get that clutch and flywheel installed.

I claim tires (you have bigger tires and r comps) and less wieght! but on the other hand I do have about 70 more hp than you... (you only have an catback, right?)

I used this laptimer along with the TomTom adapter, they claim its really accurate with the TomTom thing

LOL, yeah they're a little wider, and yeap, they're technically r-comps (NT01) but they have so many heat cycles on them that they're oversized hockey pucks. They only start getting grippy right before the grip falls off and they get greasy. When I was out there last I recalled them only having one golden lap in a session before they would go off (that and also massive brake fade). At this point when they're up to temp, they're no better than an average UHP tire.

Yep I do have a cat back... but... you are forgetting my Ultimate mod for more speed.... K&N drop in filters!

oh ok, sorry, I have about 69.7 more hp...

but really? NT01's get greasy that fast? isn't that what r comps are for...? to handle the heat of track driving... but on the other hand, my stock tires on the evo fade pretty fast as well, especially noticeable in braking. can't wait to get some dunlop starspecs, they hold up like a champ on my sister's sti when I drove it, and they're old to...

^ Nah, when they were newer they had a much broader temperature range where they were at optimal grip. I did 4 (5?) PGP events w/ them and a couple of autox practice days. I'm actually surprised they lasted as long as they did. The compound has gone under enough heat cycles that it takes a lot more heat to get them going. Whatever that temp is, it's not too far off from where the compound itself starts to get greasy. When I used them last not only could I feel it but there was lots of migration of the rubber and graining. The fronts are ready to cord at the shoulders but there should be enough for an autoX practice day or a half day @ PGP.

Dunlop star specs it is for me

the sti has been on the star specs since mid summer in 2009. I did 1 day at PGP on them, my sister did 3, 4-5 autox's, 1 track day (bremerton) in, all in 09. drove on them all sumer last year, one track (bremerton again) day and a PGP day this year, and they were still great. they were holding up much better than the advans on my evo. granted she doesn't drive as hard as I do (or you), but still, the session that I drove her car this last PGP the tires were awesome. its the only thing I like more on the sti than my car...

Got all my stuff today, now just need to take my bumper back off, take it down to Garage Auto Hero and have Ray fab a brace for the bracket. I have all hoses and 10AN fittings my new T-stat controller and relocation kit. I'm definitely cutting it close lol.
