Hey Seattle! Drive - Saturday, September 25th
I live in New Castle, just north of you on the 405...so I'll probably take 405 to I5 and then follow the signs. Is there a mapquest to it just to make sure??
30mins seems pretty quick...how fast is your Z going?

You should be able to make that. The drive is starting early enough that it still allows the afternoon / evening for other things.
BTW, I got a route description yesterday, if anyone wants to see it.
Also, for those who were concerned about entrance/departure angles, we found out the tide is a really wimpy one on Saturday...
"Low tide on 9/25 is at 9:00AM but is only a -0.4' tide so the entrance ramp to the ferry should not be a problem for Z cars."

1) Dying driver side window
2) Excessive oil consumption
3) Driver’s seat is a little loose (clicks when taking corners)
4) Clicking noises from somewhere under the car when accelerating
5) Car squeaks when getting out of the seat
6) Grease streaks on the windows
7) Check the tires for feathering (maybe I can get some free tires out of them)
And here is what they did:
1) replaced window motor
2) Still doing oil consumption check (I’ve driven it about 800 miles so far)
3) Replaced with updated washers or something, no more slop in the seat
4) Replaced axle bearing and CV boot, no more clicky
5) No more squeak
6) Replaced felt rollers and new window stop kit
7) Tires replaced. I didn't expect to get new tires so it was a pleasant surprise.
I'm happy with the service, I just wish I had a dealer on the eastside.

We really do need a Nissan on the eastside for sure.
Have you decided where in Clinton to meet?
From my place it will take about the same amount of time to take the Port Townsend ferry to Keystone and drive to Clinton. Thanks for any information.

"Get off the ferry go up short steep hill past Whidbey Island bank on your right and Clinton Food Mart on your left. Next corner is Deer Lake Road with a Post Office on the corner (short block). Turn left just past the P.O. is Clinton Park n Ride. Turn in right. Assemble the group."

I talked to a couple of guys last night that had been on and off of it. They said you can request the main level if you're concerned, and the ferry guys happily accomodate you. We won't be coming back on the ferry, so you only have to get on once. Most said the tricky part getting on is if it's at low tide... anyone wanna check what the tides are going to be that morning? Even then tho, if you're stock, it shouldn't be any issue at all. You may have an issue with a lip or drop.

That's what I was saying up a couple of posts ago... It should be a completely neutral low tide, so we shouldn't have any problems. However, if we do, then we can make a last minute course change.
Also, weatherman says it'll be about 70 degrees and only partly cloudy.

The first oil change I had there, they threw an SES light because somehow my plenum came loose...and they gave me grief about having mods on my car...kinda got me pissed, so I haven't gone back. I've been going to Cambell-Nelson.
Downtown didn't even replace my feathered tires, they said they were fine...so I'm not heading there again.
My car is clicking as well...and I'm also getting the window streaking. Oh and my seat clicks too... Perhaps I'll let Younker have a shot at it...seems like they took care of your car nicely.
Did they give you a loaner?

But since Ikea is close by while I had the loaner I filled it with shelves for my garage and DVD shelves
Since they wouldn't have fit in the Z.
Small plan update: don't miss the 9:30am ferry. There's another that leaves at 9am that you can shoot for if you like. We won't be waiting for any other ferries past the one that _departs_ at 9:30.
Other than that, it looks like the weather has been upgraded to Sunny, so it should be a blast. Hope to see some and/or all of you there.
