Default Another Ticket

Just now on Richmond parkway heading west towards San Rafael.

I was coming off the small bridge down the deep incline. I see the cop at the bottom of the hill. Off his bike. Just finished ticketing another car.

I pass him doing 52

He gets on the bike and follows me for about a minute.
Then the lights come on.

Standard crap "You know why I pulled you over"
Said no.
He asks how fast I was going. I say "About 52"
He says "You where doing 81 in a 50" I say there is no way. He says he has it on the gun.

I am nice and civil. Doing everything he asks. He then writes me up and I ask to see the gun. He says I have to sign it first. I say not until I see the gun. He asks if I am refusing to sign. He then says he has no choice but to arrest me and impound my car.

So I sign it and he then takes me to his bkike and shows me the gun. It said 81.

This ticket was BS.

Oh yeah I am looking at the ticket and I see that he wrote my Z up as a 4 Door and the color was Brown. Its a 2 door and it looks burgandy (its a BY)

Will this help any? I am paying my ticket from last month but I plan on fighting this one.

I was doing about 70 coming off the hill. There was traffic at the bottom and a light that changes to Red every now and then . So I was all ready slowing down.

I saw him from the top of the hill. Only a complete dumbass would fly by a cop. Considering I had all ready had a ticket a month ago I made sure I was as close to 50 as possible. Plus he wasn't even on his bike and appeared to be folding up his citation book and stowing it about 100 yards before I passed him.

Maybe that 81 was the guy he just ticketed and he just wanted to F you over because of the car.

I have fought radar tickets before and you can win under the right circumstances. If you have the right kind of judge, the completely wrong discription could very well get you off. It implies that he clocked a different car.

Fight It!! That should be an easy win since he's got the wrong vehicle information on the ticket. If they ask for proof, just have them take a look at your car. If you want to increase your chances, postpone the due date on your courtesy notice. You are entitled to a 60-day extension. Then schedule a trial, plead not guilty and they'll schedule another date. By the time that date comes, the cop will most likely have forgotten the incident and won't show up to the trial.

Damn Abe, sorry man. I go past the Parkway all the time, and I've only seen someone get pulled over ONCE... now I know that I had better curb my speed over there. But people easily go mad crazy in that area

The CHP will let you get away with a lot, but not speeding on any bridge.

Don't you have a detector?

It's a manditory requirement !!!

It should be standard equipment from the dealer.

Sorry for your ticket.

The dude wasn't even on his bike. This is a BS ticket. He was walking back to the bike as I was coming down the hill. I was doing about 55 at the time maybe a little more because of the down grade.

When I passed him at was doing 52 and he had just got on his bike.

He then followed me but by then everyone was doing between 45 and 50 because everyone slowed down.

Its a bogus ticket. He is full of crap. The time he showed me had to be from the car he had just finished ticketing.

I know for a FACT that I wasn't doing more than 60.

Not trying to flame, but you said above you were doing 70, which is it?

GL in court!

Mu Uncle is a motorcycle cop in Texas, and between him and his partner they write over 700-800 tickets a month, Thats all they do is traffic enforcement. BTW, this is San Antonio.

maybe he radar'ed you while hiding on the horizon... then when he got you on the gun he sprinted for his bike, but he stalled trying to get you and almost fell so he said, "Dammit!" But since you hit that slow down he was able to get you anyway.

If the gas filler door wasn't there you could have gone bigger.
