It's funny you asked this question. I was just at Zcar Garage the other day and we were talking about this. Rob says he has tried both and it's BFG all the way. I was going to get the Nito 555 series but not now after talking to him. He said Nittos have traction problems.

i have some info to share on both drag radials mentioned. ive used several different sizes of each brand from 15" to 17" on my mustang. yes the BFG's do grab better than the Nittos, but the nittos have much better carcass flex characterisitcs over BFG. if you care about handling what-so-ever than the nittos are the way to go. if straight line traction is all you care about than the BFG's are the best choice. both will make a huge improvement over street radial tires anyways. when heated they both grab greatly over stock tires/radials. the BFG's seem to grab more even while spiining, forward momentum is more appearent while spinning. i went from 17" nittos to 16" nittos to 16" BFG's to 15" BFG's. i went from street handling to all out drag. naturally the 15" tires hooked better with the large sidewalls. also the nittos are known for running a little narrower than other tires of similar size. so the BFG's seemed to have alot more meat on them width wise! the sidewall was obviously softer wich is where the benefits are found, the compound is basically the exact same. best of luck!

these sizes your mentioning are from either ET streets or ET drags. it really depends on wich ones you get. the ET street series tires run 11.5" from sidewall to sidewall, the ET drags are 11.5" from tread edge to tread edge not including the sidewall bowing, so they are much wider.....the rim width & offset of the rim are going to tell you more of wich tire will fit the z to be honest........
