you shouldn't have to. All dealership should honored the warrenty regardless if you buy it from them.
Correct. You may take it to any Nissan Dealer in any state as well. It's a good idea to keep a copy of your extended warranty (if you have one) in your glove box though. I bought mine in Concord but service it in Fairfield. They've given me trouble on some stuff since I'm over the 12/12 but all I do is show them my extended & they take care of it.
If by WC you mean Walnut Creek, and therefore Dirito Brothers then I highly recommend you take it there. Aaron has always treated me well. (complimentary rentals, etc)

I don't recall what I paid. Purchased through the dealership when I bought the car and there is no deductable.
I'm not sure I'd buy one on a new model. I just did it because it was a first year car. It has paid off too.
