I was originally gonna bondo them but its gonna be ugly still. Anyone have this professionaly done in the south bay? I'm in Redwood City. Gonna give those places on the bay area directory a call for quotes tomorrow but i wanna know if anyone has first hand exp. and pics maybe?

An easy (and cheap) fix would be to buy some nylon plugs from Home Depot, OSH, etc. and then some touch-up paint. I've done it and it looks great... that is opposed to having two gaping holes in the front bumper

Hmm. the only problem is the holes are very crudely drilled. Theres jagged bumper parts sticking out of each one. If possible I'd want to smooth them out without damaging the paint further.

Plugs should work if the holes are relatively round. Easy fix, the plugs are ~$1 for two and the touch-up paint, well, the price can be between $6 and $11 (vial or pen) but you should always have some touch-up paint available for just in case purposes.

Image autobody told me 300 over the phone cause they would have to fill it in, sand it, paint it, and sand it again (might have gotten that sequence wrong). Anyways, looks like im gonna have to go with some plugs! .. or bondo

I had crudely drilled holes also, its like the dealer just screwed in the screws without predrilling. I carefully dremeled the excess plastic off and poped in a set of plugs with touchup paint. Worked great and was nice and easy, just don't mess up when cleaning up the holes and screw up your paint (i taped mine off with some painters tape just in case).

No need. Be sure to measure the diameter of the holes before buying the plugs. They will fit snug if measured accurately.

I had the same problem...some dumb a*** at the dealership thought that everyone needs to have their front plate installed. I went the plug/touch-up paint route but did not like the bumps on the bumper that would not blend in. So.........I smoothed out the edges of the holes with my dremel and had the "Clear Armor" rock guard installed over the front bumper (also saved me from future rock dings) but I could still see the holes through the clear bumper cover. I then carefully painted touch-up paint over the clear bumper cover and it blended in perfectly. No unsightly bumps from the bumper plugs. The original first coat has been on for over a year and still looks perfect. I know it is an extra expense to get the bumper cover installed but with the cheap paint that Nissan uses, it's worth the little extra to not have the traditional 25+ paint chips that everone seems to get.

A guy at work has an S2000 with plugs. I asked where he got the "nice" plugs, he said the Honda dealer has them. I ordered a couple and need to pick them up ($4.85) from Honda. We'll see if they work.
