OT: Saw a McLaren SLR Mercedes today!
Sorry, no pictures because I was driving and didn't have my camera with me, but man was I shocked to see it cruising down HWY 24 around 9:00am this morning.
I was driving as usual in morning traffic (ANGRY and weeving, reminiscent of Office Space) when I noticed what I thought was an SL500, but the taillights looked a little different. As I pulled up next to it, I immediately noticed the aggressive ducts on the front fender and the side exit exhaust. I literally couldn't believe what I was looking at. I pulled in front of him to get a full look in my rear view and after causing a minor traffic jam, I went on my way... still weeving through traffic but no longer angry.
There is just something about a 600hp car that costs a half mill that calms me down and gets me excited all at the same time.

This is related but kinda OT, I was watching some stupid teeny bopper show on MTV called "My Super Sweet 16" and one of these little rich girls' fathers was looking into buying a McLaren SLR Mercedes to add to his plethora of exotic fancy cars. Anyway, the girl said, "Yeah, that's a 700 thousand dollar car and if my Dad buys it, we get my car for free." Not sure what that meant but jeez! They throw in a free car when you buy one or what?

I went to the MB dealer with my folks..its shocking b/c the front of the new SLK sort of (huge sort of) resembles the SLR.
SLR is a pimp car, no doubt.

i saw one the weekend of last thanksgiving. i figure it had to be one of the very first ones in the US. i've got a picture of it but it's too large to post and i'm too lazy to reduce it. that same night, i also saw a ferrari f50, and 2 or maybe it was 3 of the new bentley coupes (i think it's called the bentley gt but i cant remember right now). oh yea and a sweet porsche gt3 (amongts a bunch of other "regular" porsches). gotta love miami.
