CLOSE ONE, I almost got conned out of not going! My boss asked me, "what are you doing this weekend?" I said, NOT WORKING so don't even think about it. He said he wanted to fly me down to S. Cali for the weekend for some conference. I said, HELL NO! I explain him the T.I. meet and since this is my first and seems like a record breaker, I can't miss it. I also want to see some body mods in person, get some advice on engine mods, meet ppl, etc...

We worked out a deal to where I will fly out AFTER the meet. Anyone have any idea as to what time it might end?

I hear there is major construction going on on the Bay Bridge. Some folks I've talked to said it is hell and gridlock everyday. Do you think this may cause havoc trying to get to TI? I've talked to some relatives and they told me it took them an hour and a half just to get across the bridge. Six lanes cut down to two.

SAN FRANCISCO-OAKLAND BAY BRIDGE RAMP AND LANE CLOSURES SEPTEMBER 16-19, SEPTEMBER 23-26 AND SEPTEMBER 30-OCTOBER 3

As part of its West Approach Seismic Retrofit Project, Caltrans will perform major demolition work in the eastbound and westbound directions of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge (I-80). This will require several lanes and ramps to be closed September 16-19. Motorists leaving San Francisco via the Bay Bridge during these weekends should expect delays.
Traffic delays are expected while motorists become familiar with the new alignment. Once traffic has been shifted Caltrans will continue to prepare for major demolition activities scheduled for 3 consecutive weekends beginning September 16, 2005.

I don't think there are other altenative routes to TI. Either way you have to get on the bridge.
