Default What is the deal with Craigslist postings

I just saw 2 350z's for sale for like $12.5k and $16.5k. Both seem to be scams. Anybody in here know any details?

I see them up there all the time as well. I even saw the Do-Luck Z up on there once.

I hope those scamming bastards burn alive. I know better than to even take their posts seriously, but they post so much crap that it just ruins the site.

The seller does not say that he is willing to sell the car for $12,500. The listing says “place your bid.”

I emailed one of these morons just for the heck of it and below is the reply I got - this was for an 05 350Z Roadster and he was asking $15000!! a scam would be putting it mildly

Hello,
Thanks for taken interest in my car.
Firts of all thank you for your e-mail regarding my car. It's a great car.I know that you have many choices out there and I appreciate your interest.Anyway, the car is available and I guess you could be the owner of the car if everything turns out all right and you are serious about buying.Let me tell you a few things about it : the car is in excellent condition, everything works and there is no sign of rust anywhere has never been repaired , never been involved in any type of accident or had any paint or body work done. The title is clean and fully transferable. It is built for US market, it fully meets all US emission standards and you will have no problems whatsoever registering it there.
Here are the most important details about the car :
- US car ( US model , US specs )
- odometer in Miles , speedometer in Miles per Hour ( MPH )
This car meets all Environmental Regulations in the USA ( DOT , EPA ) .
I will send you with the car the Bill Of Sale for you not have never problem to registered the car in your name and for this deal will be legitime.I live in Aberdeenshire , United Kingdom, now where European specs are different from the American ones and it costs me too much driving this car legally here and also there is nobody interested in buying it here that's why I am selling it so cheap hoping to find a buyer in the US where it belongs. The second motiv i sell so cheap is because here in United Kingdom i not can drive this car.The best and fastest way I can ship with is using Lufthansa Air Cargo and it takes between 7-9 days to arrive at your home address.I will pay the shipping and insurance charges and i will do the arrangements for shipping from here. The payment will be done via secure pay which means that the third party will keep the money until you receive and inspect the car.I will wait for your email to let me know if you are interested in knowing more details about the purchase.
Terry
