WTF, Walt and I have gotten 2 quotes already, ranging from $622 - $1100!

Shouldn't we be around $300 for just painting a bumper? What are you guys paying?

I'll charge you $50. Just bring me the bumper, a can of spray paint and a six pack.

See thats what I thought it should cost. I don't know what these guys up here in the North Bay are smokin...

I still have a few more shops to check out around here. It really shouldn't cost THAT much, since I'm not even having them mount or dismount the bumper... just prep and paint! Im gonna take it home just like that, and let it cure OFF the car, so I can apply the clear bra with NO rock chips.

I would, but its 2 hours away from me, and I can't leave the car there for colormatch.

I can do the clear bra for an additional $25. Just bring 2-3 rolls of scotch tape.

Or you can have Jeremy do it the right way

I got a quote for $824 bux to paint my bumper..they said they'd have to remove the whole bumper and keep the car for 3 days! I'm living with the "scratch" for now.

no need. They're expert in painting Z now. Just give them the color code, they will take care of it. Me and James have our car paint there.

Yeah... I have seen their paintwork, and it looks really nice.

If I really can't find anything under $600 up here, I might just drive it down to the city to save the money.

Dan, Stop you Will pull the paint off . It is only 80% safe to put a clear bra on AFTER 6 + months of a newly paint car part. Call Vince at (Omaga) or anyone in that bus. They'll tell you the some thing.

Good luck, Jack

Jack, I had my clear bra put on my current bumper by Jeremy @ Invisiguard after 1.5 months ... and had absolutly NO problems at all.

I think I'll be fine. I'm going to let it cure in direct sunlight (while we still have it this season) for a while ... at least a month.

Thanks for the heads up... im just not going to wait that long, since it does me no good to put a clear bra on an already chipped bumper. Defeats the purpose for me.

Paid $500 to have my boy Ted@SP paint my new urethane bumper through AutoWorkes (sp?). I was told that's a pretty decent price, heh.
