Its at the Alameda Naval base. I don't know which entrance but I was just told to follow the Porsches (around 200 will show up). Cost is $30 for a total of 8 laps. Registration starts at 8AM and ends at 8:30AM, they are very strict about the time, although they will let you register early. PPL show up around 6:30AM to preep their cars and so will I. Also, bring A DOT aproved helment! If you don't have one, I'll lend you mine. I'll be driving a CS Z with Nismo wheels and colorado plates. I'll pm you with my cell #. Anyone else interested pm me.

auto-X is straight forward-some groups you'll need to register, or be a member, but many groups, you just show up the day of and pay an entry fee.
check out the racing/auto-X forum for a prep list of todo's...tire pressures, driving suggestions...

Let me know if you want to meet up in the East bay and head over to Alameda...I'm not sure exctly what entrance to goto, but 200 porsche's should be hard to miss.

Are you talking to me or Itsjustufocker?
I'm really not from this area so when you say East bay all I know is that its East of the West bay. Anywho, I'm acutally heading that way with a friend who is one of their members. He wants to be there by 6:30AM so I don't think I'll have the energy to drive around much and meet up, sorry. Last time I attended their AutoX I was the only Z there so I'll stick out like a redwood tree in a desert.

Anyone else going to the Auto-X tomorrow (Sat) in Alameda? I just checked the weather and it's supposed to be clear...I haven't done auto-Xing in a while, but always remeber how much FUN it is-ppl never understand until they actually come out (some how "driving around orange cones in a parking lot' doesn't always peak peoples interest)

Bamyi, it was great meeting you, thanks for the info on the auto-X; it was great! (I felt a bit out of place w/ 60 porches and just 2 Z's, but it was great to see how we matched up with them).
*going to the drags actaully helped considerably with the start. (we had about 50 ft from where we staged until the timing light was located)
We should organize a Z auto-cross sometime, maybe this coming spring.

Yeah, it was good meeting you to. I think the early morning rain scared alot of ppl since around 200 porsche was scheduled to show up. You had better times than alot of those porsche out there. Great job Pete! That was a really fun course and it was nice of them to give us an extra lap at the end.
As for organizing one, we should since there is so many Z in the N. Cali area. I was thinking about doing one in CO since I live there.

I found this site, its purpose is to help ppl find AutoX event in N. Cali. Sounds like what you're looking for. I didn't have time to look into in detail, so I hope it'll be helpfull. If you find an event, let me know.
