Did you ever pick up those rear calipers that I pointed you to?

It's with NASA so it doesn't matter if you car is in proper working order. Pissing oil, loose screws, smash up derby; it's all acceptable and encouraged!

Actually they're running a 3 hour enduro so the schedule doesn't appear to be so hectic.

No, I'm going to cut the dust shields off the rear when I do the rebuild (have to rebuild fronts too). If that doesn't help I have another trick up my sleeve. If all else fails I'll pick up the Stoptech rear kit or a cheap set of rear brembo's (if I can find them). The Stoptech rear kit is just too expensive, so it's a last resort.

BTW- have you been following the thread on VDC and whether it truly turns off when you press the button? I'm starting to wonder if this may have anything to do with the rear pad wear problem.

What rear brake pad wear problem?
I have found the ultimate rear pad. I'm on par to get about 12 days out of them. They're wearing at the same rate as the fronts! Search for my rabestos thread.

Good thread. Where do you order them from. I saw you refer to the as a custom cut. Is this till the case?
