Default yay, new headlights under warranty!

Just a heads up, Santa Rosa Nissan has been great to deal with since they switched ownership. Very mod friendly, and have had wonderful service from them.

My '03 headlights have some sort of cloudy/filmy substance on the inside of the lights. It looks really bad, and blurrs the light output. I called them up, and they said "No problem, we'll order a new set. In fact, someone just came in last week with the same problem on an '03"

They said as long as I was under the original 36k warranty mark, it'd be no problem. Good thing, as I am at 32k now!

do you know if you'll be getting the 06's? I'm thinking probably not.

Thanks for the heads up tho, I've got the same cloudiness in my headlights.

Probabally not the 06's ... they just called back and said they want me to swing by on the way home, so they can make sure its the same problem... but its just a "formality" as the servicewriter said.

I'll ask em if they can get the 06's at the same "price"

I work for a dealership, parts(not nissan), warranty issues are nice for dealerships. It costs them nothing, nissan the company pays for everything parts/labor. Its work and money for everyone at a dealership, its funny how some people are afraid to approach with a warranty question like they are going to be accused to of doing the damage themselves to something, dealerships love warranty work. Anyways, no way in hell will they give you the 06 headlights, they submit your vin to nissan and sometimes they require the dealer to return the part to nissan so they can look it over so there is no way around it.
