Default ANY LSD installation shops in SF???

Hi, I just bought a 350Z base model and would like to get a nismo LSD and to have it tuned and installed by a local shop. Does anyone know any good shops that charge a reasonable price in SF or around the Bay Area? I need your big help! Any suggestions will be highly appreciated, thanks a lot!!

Default Call Ted at Scott Performance

I plan to have him do a full rear swap in January. I am adding a 3.9 gear and Giken LSD. He has done a number of swaps and tunes.

how much would it be? I have 06 base model and want to add LSD as well. Does it improve a lot to really tell the difference? I don't want to invest 2000 and see minimal improvement.

The 3.9 alone ran me over $1500.(parts and labor) I really liked the change it made to the car, but I don't know if I would do it again. Throw in the cost of an LSD, and I don't know if I would even had considered it. Having the LSD would be nice though.

Having the LSD would make a big difference to me because it allows me to almost floor the gas towards the exit of a turn, kicks the tail out instead of keeping one wheel spinning, and at understeer situation, it allows powerovering at a more desirable and controllable angle. This is my 0.02. And also thanks for the info guys! and may I ask C Ray Z how much will the labor cost?

Default This is a complete Rear end swap

Assuming this is a swap out to minimise labor. Ted quoted $300. It is straight forward. If you were to change the parts it would be a lor more and gear shimming needs to be done correctly. The rear end will be delivered to the shop and I will pay for the freight return for the old unit back to 350EVO in Ohio.
