Even with the map, if you get lost theres no hope of finding your way back. There's very little chance of getting lost since most of the route is straight with no connecting roads. We are also taking it slow. With this said, I will consult with Warrent to make maps.

Also, if you have talk-about type radios bring them. We will be on channel 9-0

We use the : "I will not go on at the next turn unless the person behind me SEES me do it." system.

Good system but doesn't always work since it requires 100% cooporation. The radios are backups and are also use to warn of oncoming traffic, pedestarin in the trail and of course, cops

I chucked my radio out the window, one to many conversations like this:

Radio "kffft"
Me "what"
Radio "Pfffffft shhhhhh soon and then we crshhhhhhhhhhh"
Me "What"
Radio "ffffffffffffffff real soon and then we kaffffffffffffffff"
Radio (another voice) "Tell your sister to get home now or shes grounded"
Radio (first voice) "where the pfft are kleffffffffshhhhhhhhhh"
Radio (third voice) "but Mom"
Me "Don't talk back to your mother, you heard what she said and if I have to come over there, you're gonna be sorry"
Radio (silence)

The "your responsible for the guy behind you" system works great with responsible drivers.

Chris

I'm baaacckkk....my phone piece hit the driveway concrete and went c-r-a-c-k...Got a new one free, had to charge it up....But nice of cingular to give new ones free...(Not 1 cent).
Dave did the route drive, which you and I followed. We also got a Carmel Valley Map. Can make copies, will need Dave's input on the route iteself. We drove it and are looking at it on the map we bought. Once Dave's input is in, we'll make a copy (ies) for Sat.
Will try to call you Friday.

itsjoshufocker and Bubble: Hope you both make it...Jack and Chris have to make it too.
A. Meet at 9:00am at the location above. (My Nissan) (Front Entrance is ours!)
B. Maps made with route and address pts along the way for anybody that wants one.
C. Depart at 10:00
D. Do the Carmel Valley Run...easy pace. Lots of curves, sites, straightaways, a nice easy comfortable cruise.
E. Lunch back in Salinas at "Chevy's", multiple choices to pick from.
As all runs, chance to meet new people and check out other cars. It's be very much like the other runs. You'll enjoy it. Look to see you there. If this turns out great, than we'll have another run for the future "BigSur", which is in the planning stages now....probably early "Spring"

If bubble and zappi don't show there will be hell to pay, a promise can't be broken.
