Default freaking fit it ticket

so i just got a speeding ticket, and ontop of that the officer gave me a fit it ticket for not having a front plate. i asked him i can just zip tie it on the grill. he said no. is this true? he said it has to be securely put on the car with bolts and stuff and be atleast 12 inches off the ground. will the zee bracket fix this? and what about this 12" crap. but first, will the zip ties be enough?

thx

jon

What's a fit it ticket? Are you overweight?

Sounds like BS to me! I don't see any reason why zip ties wouldn't work.

hey charlie

are you on crack? a fit it ticket is a ticket u get when u have to fix something on your car because it's not up to legal standards. douche.
and the reason i got the ticket is cause i didn't want to to drill 2 holes in my bupper for the oem bracket and i didn't buy a zee bracket.

heart,
jon

I'm from Vallejo and had gotten a fix it ticket for my missing front license plate and together with a speeding ticket....

I zip tied my front plates and had Vallejo PD officer sign off on the ticket without any problems...

I have gotten several fix it for front license plate. Zip Ties will do.

San Bruno PD and Millbrae PD have signed them all without objections. Not sure how SFPD is about that.

Zip ties will definately be good enough. Securely fastened (per the law) means that it shouldn't be flappin' in the wind, or hanging and swaying from side to side.

Cops can be cool or they can suck, This guy or gal sounds like they were a dick to you, I think front license plates look gay on show day, and holes where the plate was is even worse, I would go with the zip ties, if the license plate is on there in the center and not flopping around you will not get a ticket for it simply because the cop will not notice it even if zip ties are illegal, but I would recommend putting some padding behind the plate so that it doesn’t scratch the paint when you take it off. Oh I’m good at math too by the way, but I’m not Asian, just some white engineering dork with a Z.

bad speller? hahha, no no my friend, you wrote "fit" more than once and fix in the same sentence haha, thats bad vocabularly lol

back on topic, i think zipties should work fine. just look for an officer around the area maybe at your local donut shop or starbucks and have them sign off your FIX it ticket and it'll only be $10 at court.

Hahaha!

Anyways...yes I would agree that zip ties should be good enough. Like someone already mentioned, your plate shouldn' be flappying around or hanging off one side.
