Did you get his Ins info? I hope so cuz just catching him and *****ing at him isn't going to pay for ****.

Oh, sorry for the dings, I try and try myself to avoid this but it's I know it's going to happen sometime...

My phone is a great tool for evidence. I took pics of the car and his info. But I did get it fixed over the weekend, Just could not stand looking at it. Now I have to collect the money he owes me.

During the time he was fixing the ding, I found 2 more dings that I did not notice until the sun shined on it. I payed a buck fifty for all three.

I left him a message today (Saturday) and he called me back only an hour later which is already a great sign in his favor. He seems to have good customer service skills which is rare these days.

He can't do my car this weekend, but I will meet him at the Serramonte auto plaza some morning this week. Thanks for the referral.

Yeah, Yellow Stealth and I got ditched the last time there was a "group buy" on this. We drove all the way from SF to Fremont or something like that and the guys already left.

Stealth, how much is this guy quoting you for a dent?

I didn't ask for a quote since "Impactpeople" mentioned he was charged $50 oer dent which is about the normal rate. My dents are so small though that I am hoping he will give me a bit of a discount. We'll see.

Not sure, but the last one was a bargin: $20 a dent!!!
I think the guy was pissed though, because like 15 people signed up for it and only 2 people showed up. I think if we want any type of "group buy" we'll have to have commited (maybe pre-paid) people in on it.

On that note, anyone interested? If we get at least 10 people I'll volunteer to call and ask the guy.

OK, so I met Ed Van Dine this morning and he fixed my 2 door dings and one small dent on my hood.

I was impressed both with his customer service skills (really nice guy) and the quality of his work. He had all the professional tools, took his time and did great work.

I talked to him about possibly organizing a dent day and he is game, especially since he is seriously considering buying a Z, so he might soon be one of us . He thought it might be nice to have it on a weekend day at the Daland Nissan dealership in Millbrae, and Daland already said they would be cool with that. Do I hear mini gathering?

As far as the price goes, he cannot quite match the $25/dent that Chris had given us before, but he actually talked to Chris this morning (they know each other) and even Chris said he cannot continue offering such low prices on dent days. I also recommend we get more that 10 people signed up since by the time we pick a date, it is innevitable that some people won't be able to make it.

I am forwarding this thread to Ed so he can post the pricing he has in mind and we can go from there. He won't be posting until tonight at the earliest as he works all day so be patient and please welcome him as a potential future member of our community.
