Default Almost got robbed .....

We'll at least that is what I thought when I was walking back to my car from Radio Shack yesterday.

Here's what happened- I was walking down the walkway and come around the corner and see this dude looking into my car. It was this big muscle bound guy. I'm like Holy you know what. Is the guy going to break into it? I thought that because he was looking in the side window. So, I duck behind a pillar to see what is happening so I can catch him in the act or see WTF!!!

He proceeds to look around the car in the back window. Then he steps back and looks the rear of the car. He continues around the car looking in the driver window and around the front. He bends over looking at my Z emblem I have up front. After that he walks back past the passenger side and says out loud. Nice !!!! I almost busted up laughing and had to contain myself so he wouldn't know I was watching.

I was in somewhat of a hurry and didn't want him to ask a bunch of question of me so, after he got about 50' away I returned to my car.

As I turn around to back out this guy is driving by in his SS Vette with Tan interior. Exactly, like I would like to have. He gives me a thumbs up as he passes through my rearview mirror and I give him a quick wave as I back out.

Now am I paranoid or what. Lol !!!!

His this ever happened to you guys? It was a pretty sweet feeling.

The same thing happened last weekend to me but slightly different.
I washed the car on Saturday. So me and Godzilla go to the store.
We come out and this younger guy and girl are like damn thats nice for a porsche, and then the guy goes you know what it looks like a Z tho, so as i get close he notices that we are getting in and goes, "is that a z" I replied, "yep sure is". Then he, "is it fast", me "about 540hp", him, "riggggght", with a confused look on his face.

So were leaving and then we remembered I forgot nails, and so I parked in another spot to stop at walgreens for nails. So we come back to the car and this minivan comes hauling *** right on my bumper, I thought my car was gonna get jacked. So this lil kid jumps out and is eye balling the car all over and his mom is yelling in the van "hurry up". He runs back to the van and says "yup it was a Nissan, told you". Kind of a lame story but it was funny at the time.

lol. my friend almost got jacked at Mcd's drive thru. He was in line and they pulled up behind him and 3 black guys came out and was walking to the car. Then there was a car behind them, so they went back into their car and drove off after there was a opening. Iono what i would do, lock my doors and then what? lol

Very familiar story. Soccer mom (young) in a range rover with like three 11-12 y/o boys pull up next to me at a stop light. The kids are on top of each other trying to get a peek of my car. Then the lady goes: "I have three boys in here that think your car is very cool"

I play it cool and thank her.

Even an older conservative looking lady walking her dog around the Libraby stopped and said my car looked very classy.

I had a woman on I-5 say at a rest stop. "You passed us, is it a Porche? Looks good going down the road".

I get told all the time the car looks good rolling down the road. I obviously love the car, but it is amazing how many people are in awe of it!

Yeah I do too. I just never thought he would be looking at it that long. I generally give a car a peek are a 10 sec look around. Then I'm off. This guy took like a minute to check things out.

Now, if I'm standing a few feet away I might look at a car from a far for a few minutes.

It's just fun to see people ...... like I did the first time I saw her.

One night I was leaving the mall with a friend, and walking towards my car to the parking lot.

I see two guys, probably still in college, standing behind the Z. One was pretending to dry hump the rear of the car. He had his hands out like he was holding on to a girl's butt, eyes closed like he was having an orgy.

I told my friend to hold my stuff as I was clenching my fist, taking off my watch and ready to go in case they were planning on doing anything. I got closer and realized he wasn't touching the car at all.

They both ended up heading towards the driver side window to look inside the car. Then one of the guys notice us, pulls his buddy away and told him: "stop drooling man".

Hah close one, I almost thought they were going to do something shady.
Funny encounter...car was new at the time so I was a little more concerned.

Something similar happened to me. I'm sitting in my car making a phone call and an older couple are looking at the side of the car. And they don't notice me in the Z because of my 5% tint. Then they start looking at the front of the car and they make eye contact with me and I just waved for some reason. They started laughing and I got out and asked if they had any questions. They were thinking about getting one is what I found out. People do some funny things sometimes eh.

The pad are EBC's Green Stuff that I got from Courtesy Nissan in Texas. They ship quick !! $70 + ship.

http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...Code=EBC-350ZG

They are powder coated Green and I used 1200 degree Paint to paint the calipers.

Front brake pad replacement = 1hr or less.
Front caliper painting = about 1hr = did two coats so I think it was a hair over 1hr or so.

This picture was taken right after install during break in of the brakes. I think they dusted more during that period of time. I just washed my wheels before we met last week and have put on over 400 miles since then and it looks about the same right now. What is nice is that I don't have to dust off the wheel s anymore between car washes. I was dusting them off like every other day. Even after short trips. Make sure you follow their instructions on break in. There is a process to seating them and it worked great for me. No squealing, chattering or noises coming from them.

Oh one last thing, make sure you use Permatex Copper Anti-squeal compound on the back of the shim and in the brake pad slide. It was recommend to me and only cost like $1.29 for the little package of the stuff.
