I saw the camera at "Best Buy". I bought the Canon Rebel XT instead for $799.00 at CostCo. Effective 8 megapixels Approx. 8.2 megapixels. Check the 02-06 Consumer Reports for 8 megapixels and above, they have the Canon Rebel rated #1. This is my 3rd digital camera, I some side work here for the local area per special occasions, like the young girls special day, actually for a death in the family gathering, family pic's, etc. I'll have my camera at the upcoming meets 03-25 and 04-01, if you are there, you can check it out. It's my replacement for the Fuji one which did 6.2 megapixels. All three of the cameras made by Canon are excellent, and those are some good buys you found there, Bestbuy wants $1,399.99 for the EOS 20D camera with a 18-55mm EF-S zoom lens presently.
If you come to the Jelly Belly Meet at Fairfield 03/25 or the Auto RnD meet 04/01 maybe we can get together and again I'll show you mine.

Anyways, I'm actually looking for the same camera as yours Warren. I'm just trying to find the best place to buy it. I'm not all that of a hardcore photo guy yet so I'm just looking for the best starter kit for me. Any recommendations out there for the best price? How about lenses? Some XT's come with 18-55mm lense but should I just upgrade & get something else?
