Any Riders on the board?
Just wondering if there are any crotch rocket riders on here? Taking the MSF class on the 18th. So wondering if any fellow my350z'ers can point me in the right direction to get some good gear for cheap.
And any pointers from experienced riders are welcomed!

pointer:
Splitting lanes on the freeway cuts your travel time by A LOT...and possibly your life span as well - - be carefull (no need to say 'have fun' b/c that's for sure!)
*I don't have the extra $ for a bike right no, but rode for about 5 years before getting married this past year.

Do not go cheap on gear at all. It will save your hide. Cycle Gear, Road Rider, www.newenough.com, Motostrano, etc are all good places to look.
Trending Topics
2006 ZX-6R. I recommend going into a store and trying on different brands before buying online (which is where you will find the cheapest prices). Some people fit gear that others don't. Cycle Gear and Motostrano are great places in the Bay Area to try on different gear. www.newenough.com usually has great prices and reviews for the gear as well. It is very important to make sure that you are comfortable in your gear, otherwise you will be thinking about how uncomfortable you are rather than paying attention to the road.

'06 Gixxer 600 over here. Good place to get gear is Cycle Gear. They have them all over the place.
Mine is the one with no emblems or stickers. I take that back, mine is the one with the pig face sticker on the shield.

how do you like it so far? first bike? new rider? easy to handle? give me feedback on it and i might go get the new 2006 gsx-r.
thanks.
Thanks for all the input guys! I plan on getting an 04-05 gixxer 600. I've been reading alot of forums telling newbies to get a 250 to start...but we all know what happens to guys that rides 250s around the bay area! So if anyone here knows somebody selling their gixxer for a good deal shoot them this way!
As for the gear I went to the Road Rider parking lot sale over the weekend and picked up a Suomy spec 1r helmet already. Now all I need is some gear. Anyone familiar with Santa Clara Cycles? Is that a good place to go?
Any recommendations for a good leather jacket and pants? i already have the gloves picked out, just need to find a good suit!
BTW you guys got sweet bikes...

a good suit for a good price would be alpinestars but if you got the money, dainese has very nice suits but the price goes up. motogp suits are also really nice as well but this is all depending on how much your willing to spend.
I used to have a 600RR but soon the is an addition to the fam. coming so now I have a harley 1200C. But I still have alot of my old gear. Depends on your size and wieght but I do have A-stars Jacket, track pants, boots and gloves. I have an Arai hemet also ,but I think I'm gonna keep that.
Taking the MSF couse was the best choice you could do to start out. You'll learn basics on which to build skills. Then you go out and drag your knee on Mines Rd.
I might get another crotch rocket in a couple cause the new designs are looking great!
