Default For the F&F watchers tonight, or for anyone, be aware in San Mateo County

It seems like the San Mateo County PD is coming down in force, and may be for some time. This has been posted on other auto forums, so thought I would share...

those bastards shoudl try doing their job protecting people instead of harrassing people. sure arrest people street racing nut not everyone who fixes up a car. i think there should be a harassment and discrimination lawsuit made here. they do not mind it when a old camaro or mustang roles around straight piped or with a huge blower. my dads camaro pushes 450whp and he never even gets botherd. BS.

Birch said police officers will look out for cars that are brightly colored or have lettering and graphics.

"Obviously, there's nothing illegal about that ... but sometimes, when a car is painted that way, it's tied with illegal modifications," he said. "If a car is too loud, or doesn't meet emissions requirements — because it's a violation — it allows an officer to pull a car over and gives police the right to go underneath the hood to see if anything has been modified."
It's profiling! I can't help it if I was born fast!

Don't worry Alex, you probably didn't want to see it opening day with all of the kids there...

Brian (is going to probably wait a couple of weekends for this one, but he will definitely see it on the silver screen)

Saw the 5:10 showing at Dublin IMAXX on Saturday. The movie was 1/2 empty (right after matinee prices but too early for the "prime time" kids watching it). Perfect timing.

Everyone just needs to get modified looking vehicles that are compliant and go to these areas. ONce they start looking at cars they cant ticket, well it gets obvious.

Just drove by Burlingmame on 101 N. was only going about 70-75 and went by the Broadway exit and there was one CHP that seemed like it was gonna follow me, then there was one more on the Millbrae exit ready to jump on the freeway. Luckily, did not get stopped and took the airport exit.
