So my GF & her friends are looking into trying out one of these mystery dinner banquets. Has anyone tried one of these & can anyone recommend a good one in the Bay Area? Price? TIA!

Is this a banquet that has a mystery play going on while you're eating or something? Or a banquet that you never know what you're going to eat?

 

Mystery Play. It's something like Clue but with dinner. I'm just researching for my GF.

 

Never had a mystery one, but went to a wedding one called Tony & Tina's Wedding. It was pretty good, well, not the food so much (IMO). The ambience was cool with the actors acting like we'd been friends for a long time (even in the bathroom... one of the guys was like "hey man, missed you at the bachelor party!").

The mystery one sounds interesting though... possibly on my to-do list with my g/f as well... well, pending your report

 

Hahaha! Sounds like something off of the movie "Wedding Crashers" . Although I won't actually be going to this mystery dinner (Girl Outing). I'll let you know what my GF thinks .

 

I have never been there but I have heard the one in Sac is fun. Its in Old Town on the paddle boat. I forget whats its called.
