Gabe & Warren . . . If the Monterey Run goes down and is in the later part of September and on, I am down for it. After you folks decide, I'll see how many of the local G's I can gather up. That's if they are not already following this thread.
If this goes to pass, the Carmel Valley run may not be too conducive for a dozen cars at a maxium.

I live in Monterey, and there is a nice park with grills, picknick tables, beach volley ball pit, etc. that is on Del Monte beach, just up Del Monte Blvd. from the wharf. About a block over from the beach is an Infinity dealership that is no longer in use. Let me know when you decide to do the Monty meet, and I'll call the property manager over there and get permission to park our cars on the lot. This will eliminate our need for public parking and the risk of door dings and what not, since it will only be our cars parking there.
For those of you that are more adventurous, I can the lead a Carmel Valley run as I have twice before (I know the road very well, as it is the road I like to play on, heh heh heh). The road is extremely twisty through the mountains for about 30 - 40 miles (depending on the route), but it pays off with scenic views, fun curves and long streights at the end (120+ mph). It will dump out back on HWY101. We can go as fast or slow as you like. We can even have two groups, i.e. a fast group and a slow group. This road is a rural road that has very little traffic. Still, there will be the occational truck and maybe even a bicyclist or two, so good judgement and caution must be exorcised through parts of this route.

David, that's the one to do, with the straigh a way at the end. You live in Moneterey, so you know the beach, and I'm sure you're talking about the place we almost used on the last run, so you've got it. (If we get the vote for the one here of course). If in late Aug or early Sept, this will work out great. Wait and see what everbody wants to do, and James get getting the tally on it.

Yes, I'm am totally down to do a Monterey Meet & the spot dbmtrx123 has pointed out sounds like an ideal place. Let's definitely aim for sometime in September. I'll make a new thread now so we can do all the planning there. I'll link that post here as soon as it's up. I'll also post up the GoKart Racing thread as well...
Mods. Could you please close this thread for me as soon as I post the link? Thanks!
