Just wondering if anyone has been there before. My girlfriend loves the beach and its our 3 year anniversary coming up. So I wanted to take her here, but it would suck if the place SUCKED.

You should scrap Santa Cruz and go to Palomino's in San Francisco on Embarcadero. They have an awesome view of the bay and the food is phenomenal. If you girlfriend like's the beach, take her to the Cliff House off of Geary Street, and the restaurant sits on a cliff over a beach and the view of the Pacific Ocean. My girlfriend took me there while the sun was setting. The food is out of this world. You can then stroll on the beach after dinner...
Hey, I been to all the restaurants posted from Monterey to San Francisco. I'm from Monterey and I frequently go to Crow's nest. You'll love it. Shadowbrook is good to but it's kind of hard to find. Go with Crow's nest and call in advance.
Why go to S.F. and deal with all of the BS traffic and parking?? Plenty of parking at Crow's next. The weather is similar to S.F. but not quite as chilly.
good luck,
rgtopz.

I find the crows nest a crap shoot, the food is always good but the service all depends on who you get and what kind of day they are having. I still go there on occasion because it's walking distance from a friends house but I would not depend on them for anything important.
