Need advice.

Problems so far : Car pulls to the right, rear view mirror rattles, Alum. Kick plate bent from dealer where purchaced.
The Alignment : Tomorrow, I have an appointment for a ride along for the alignment. What else should they do to fix this problem other then just align the car? Is there a TSB that needs more work done to fix it? Anything need to be replaced?
The kick plate : They say I need to go all the way back to Santa Cruz where I bought the car to have that replaced? Is this true? It is way out of the way.
The Mirror : What do you think? It rattles pretty bad, will the replace it?

dont know about the pulling to the right problem, but as far as the kick plate goes, i think that they are right. you will probably have to go to the dealership that you bought it from. especially if it is damaged from them. you may have a problem with them admitting that they were the ones that damaged it though.
the mirror, i would guess they would try to stop the rattling and if they couldnt then maybe at that point they would consider changing it out. not sure.
good luck.

They should replace the mirror. There shouldn't be any objectionable noises or rattles from your car while under warranty.
make sure you car isn't pulling right because of the crown in the road. does it pull left if the crown is to the left, or does it go straight. any steering pull / clear vision is usually alignment, short of a bent frame or suspension component.
i'd have to agree since it was the other dealer's fault, they should take the cost hit.

Damn man. An '04 and you're having these problems? These sound like '03 problems.
Hopefully your dealer is nice about it and fixes it without giving you shlt. Good luck man. Sorry you experienced the problems so soon

I fixed my mirror rattle by running some thin, wicking, super glue around the entire seam of the mirror and then squeezed the two halves together while the glue dried. That shut 'er up!!
My car also pulls slightly to the right, but not too bad. I also have some other rattles, but again, nothing too bad. I may just throw some glue around the entire car and see what sticks. We'll see how desparate I get.
I was riding in a brand new Honda Accord the other day, and it had some rattles in the rear.
I was in an S2000 with some rattles.
However, my Mom's damn Altima is completely rattle free. I think pretty much every car will develop some rattles after a while, you just gotta learn how to fix them or learn how to live with them. My fear about fixing the rattles is that you have to tear everything apart to get to the rattle, so when you put everything back together you may end up with a couple more. Especially since car interiors are all snap together these days (with maybe 1 or 2 screws holding the entire thing together).
I agree though, either route is annoying.
As far as the kick plate goes, you may have to visit the dealer you bought it from since they were the ones that damaged it. Really annoying since the Santa Cruz dealer service department is only open during the week (not good if you work in SJ). How many dealers have you tried though? Maybe you could find one that would do the work for you. Good luck with that.

Grrrr!!!
Please, someone tell me pulling to the right does NOT imply feathering is imminent.
Does anyone else with a 04 have the same issue?
I can live with a slight pull to the right but I cannot live with feathering and there is NO way I will keep the car if it still has tranny issues.
My 04 should be here in january. I'm getting VERY concerned.
Good luck man, keep us posted.

Went to the appointment.
They addmit that the car is pulling right, but it is "very minor."
The mirror of course did not rattle on the drive.
They will order the kick plate and replace it.
For the alignment, you know that part that they usually replace? It may not stand for the 04's. He said the TSB was only for the 03's.
So he is calling the "service tech" to see if they need to replace that part or not. If not, they will just align it for me.
That is all for now, waiting to be contacted.
