Default Best way to remove a decal?

I bought a car in the south. They have a custom we in the west don't appreciate. They install decals on the car (a form of advertizing).

I'd like to remove the (black) decal from my PPW car.

Any suggestions on the best way to do that without damage to the paint?

Thanks
Tom Stephenson

i took my emblems off with just any type of sticker removal, dampen the decal with it, and then use a hair dryer on the decal for about 5 min. and it should peel right off

Yes, Googone works wonders. Available at your local hardware/drug store. It will not damage your paint. You may also try WD40 as well -- not sure how well that works but it won't damage your paint either. Just make sure to wash it off with soap/water.

Remove the plastic-like part by heating it up with a hair dryer(or a heat gun) and peeling it. Then, use 3M Brand Adhesive Remover to get all the sticky material off the paint. I've had better luck with it than GooGone, LiftOff, or any of the other products I've tried.
