Default Motor Sports Association Z & G gathering April 27-29, 2007

Feedback from Yojack1:

"Last year was the first time we attended and we were pleasantly surprised. They were very organized considering the size of the event. I had heard stories of the amount of cars that would be in attendance but thought they were untrue. They weren't. There were about 600 vehicles in different stages of construction. This year the location has been moved to Irvine Lake Park so they can allow even more vehicles! You and Warren should go. It is well worth the trip.

Its pretty badazz, I never been but I want to, they close a whole block off for the Z's. There is usually a good group that drives down together from norcal, but its worth the drive. They get every type of Z to show, s30's-350z's, one year I will make the drive.

Great show to attend - we've driven down from the bay a few times... there are things to do all week if you'd like to make more of a trip out of it versus just the car show. Nissan brought a 350z in May 2002 before they even hit the streets...

Here is my quick wrap up of last year.
The auto cross was awesome (but I missed the swap meet)
The dinner was all 240/280 guys, I felt out of place and treated as though I don't know how to turn a wrench (even though I've been turning wrenches for 25 years).
The show was packed, they have a new location this year so hopefully the cars can be spaced out a bit more.

I am definitely going again.

Chris

They don't call it Super Extreme for nothing!
The Z33 has become the new Civic/Integra. I had to do soemthing to "set mine apart" from the rest. Gullwing doors are next.

So maybe we could set up a group drive down and spend the night down there and enjoy the festivities. Anybody interested? If there's a group drive interest, then we could plan meet and time points to get all together for the run down. This is a feeler, will start list, if there's interest.

What's the deadline 4 registering? How much? I was thinking about staying down fri/sat and head back Sun A.M.

Damn, all the good sponsored shows and meets are down south all the time.

80 for the autocross (this is more than a 3 run type event, last year I got 10 runs and lots of instructor time)
30 for the show and shirt.

I don't know what the deadline is, it might be on the site here http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/WCN

I will probably head down with the wife around 5pm on Friday and back Sunday night.

If you head back Sunday morning, you'll miss the show.
