Received a huge 3 inch crease due to a careless old *** lady with a GMC truck. Actually saw the door bounced off my quater panel. I am pissed!!!!! Gt=ot her license plate number though....what should i do next??

 

Call insurance/ get quotes from body shop.. Rape her insurance!! Get full paint job from it!! Bam!

 

Unless there's a way to prove that she did it, the police nor insurance companies are going to do anything.

Yes, but that doesn't prove that she actually did it. Police don't waste their time on things like this, which I know isn't what you want to hear. If there was a legitimate accicent and she ran from the scene, then maybe (yes maybe), the police would follow-up (but not always unless there's an independent / 3rd party witness).

If there's a consistent crease, then the dent will probably come out pretty easily with by a dent guy - probably cost you $40.

 

Actually police will waste their time on this.. I have received plenty of police reports for this reason..

 

Sorry to hear about the absolute carnage. Door dings drive me to kill But like was said, there really isn't anything you can do. I figured that out myself a few years back, when a lady claimed I backed into her Rav 4 with my Z

I knew I didn't, obviously, but she wanted money... her bumper was already messed up from something, my back bumper had no marks. I called the police and asked what she could do: they said "nothing", because there wasn't a police report filed. Then her insurance kept calling me, and I denied it, and eventually, nothing happened.

 

i agree police around here anyway dont do sh*t about it. cant be proven could have been anybody. i ahd the samne thing happen and got it fixed out of pocket one without paint cost arouns $100 and the other needed paint and was 350 to blend the fender. i rarely ever park my car in a spot where it can be hit, even if it means walking a ways to the store etc.... and it still happenes it pisses me off as well

(1) wherever I am driving

and when I stop...


(2) Into the driveway !!
