They were there last Sunday... I've seen them there a couple of times. Usually on weekend early afternoons....

After passing the Hiddenbrooke on-ramp, they are on right shoulder the 1st curve... Pretty good spot for their laser... Keep an eye out on cars on that curve, if you see them tapping their brakes ...

My BEL RX-65 did no detect the laser ... Not sure if I was blocked or he wasn't point towards me since I was on the left lane and there was moderate traffic...

 

i hate how they hide ... then they jump out at you and you're like holy crap

 

he probably wasn't shooting the laser at you. laser detectors are kinda pointless because if your detector detects it, that means that the police officer has gotten your speed already. laser doesn't scatter like radar so if u detect it, u probably got hit.

 

They've been using that in that area for a while. Youll see them from time to time. Watch out for those speed traps!

 

Yeah, that Hiddenbrooke exit has been a haven for the CHP for years. They used to have what was called the "Wolf Pack" up there...basically 5 cars lined up ready to roll and one guy on the radar.

Laser/Radar detectors are pretty much only useful for telling you that you're going to get a ticket.

 

today 4/17 they are full force on 280 between 880 and 85..... one cop was hiding under an overpass in the shadows pointing his lidar unit at cars

 

not in the same area, but I seen local cops using laser on San Tomas express way in south bay. My V1 was going off like crazy and I notice a cop standing outside lazering all the cars.
drive carefully out there!!

 

Right off the San Mateo bridge 92 eastbound I've seen them gunning cars down. The crazy part is that they're not even off the side of the freeway but on the other side of the fence parallel to the freeway.

 

Last night (Wednesday) I saw police camped out everywhere in Milpitas coming out of McCarthy Ranch and also on the Highway entrance to 880 South by Milpitas Square. Also saw several officers patrolling around the area. I think I may put my front plate back on...especially if we are still going to the milpitas meets.

you guys watch out for LIDAR on 680 walnut creek area, they showed it Fox news. One cop on lidar then there's a line of cruisers about half a mile down just waiting to get radio'd..
