Hate to say it but, Salvage Title car is not worth much as the resale value to the next owner is even less. With that being said I picked up a nice Salvaged Cougar (30th Aniv) for $700. If it hadn't been Salvage it would have been worth at least $2700 in the worst condition and the lawyers said that I paid too much for it. I wanted to me as fair as could since I was buying it from someone that needed money.

It too only had fenders, radiator/ radiator support, fan-clutch, battery and hood damage estimated at $2300 to fix. Owner bought car back because they liked it and spent $2800 to fix it a year ago because he loved it so much.

It had a squeak that took me a week to find: two spot welded panels rubbing.
It drove me crazy. $5 for some expandable foam in a hard to get place and hours of frustration fixed that. This is what most people fear on salvage cars squeaks and noises they can never fix.

The rule that was given to me that most follow:

Half the price of wholesale value of the car. That is what it is worth according to KBB. However, if you find the right person .... you never know.
They will have to have cash. Which is what a lot of people don't have these days because banks won't finance. So, $15K sounds like a good sell if you can find the buyer.

The Z is just more sculptured imo. Look at the plate on the Z then the G. It's just looks more custom and more expensive. There are a lot more little feature that I like on the Z over the G. It's just so sexy !!!

i will say this...

sporty 4 door and easily modable to become quite fast:

Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT..

well, yes i do have one...

get a stick, and stock 0-60 times are in the low 5 second range, wtih a quater mile near 14 flat.

stage II, wchih reqires about 1500-2000 in mods depending on brand, will get you around a 0-60 time if mid 4 second range and mid 13s in the quater mile. a hoot to drive not to mention AWD traction and overall a relatively sleep classical design.

get the limited and you get all the luxuries such as dual zone, power, heated everything etc etc...

you should be able to find a 05 used with less than 30k miles for around 15-20k dpendong on limited or not.

the only downside is gas mileage, be prepared to get no more than 20mpg combined, all day...cuase its kinda fun yo step on it

i know mine will pull away from a lightly modded G35 (intake, exhuast) quite easily and i have a wagon lol
