Default audiomobile in oakland alarm install

Im getting the compustar pro 9000fm alarm, audiomobile quoted me 1100 out the door, this seems kind of pricey. What do you guys think? worth the money? I know its a top of the line alarm, but for that price i could get the clifford avantguard 5.5. anyone have experience with the pro 9000fm? thanks

well its the latest compustar 2 way paging with a range of 3000ft, with remote start for a manual transmission. im also adding the tilt sensor and proximity sensors. which are about 100 dollars for each option. Yea i agree though, this is very expensive.

Im thinking about the clifford avantguard which is about 1000.00 installed but it doesnt have 2 way paging. and the clifford matrix has 2 way, but no remote start for manual transmission. Im really stuck here. what alarms do you guys run with remote start and 2 way paging?

Before calling audiomobile expensive, why dont you call up a few other computsar dealers and see what kind of prices you get? try autosound specialist in union city, ask for Kenny, tell him Bing referred you. see what you get.

as far as i can see with the norm, what you described wanting installed should roughly be int he 1k range, maybe a tad higher.

I will say this though, when it comes to alarms, it pays to have someone good install it. Even more so than audio....a poorly installed audio system may just sound badly, a poorly installed alarms sytem can cause havoc with your car, not only may the alarm not work, or go off at random, it may cause electrical damage to your car. THis is why i tell everyone NEVER to go to a shop that appears to be trying to OUTCHEAP people by advertising lower than normal prices...you will regret it for the rest of your car's life. I just have seen it too many times in this industry...

as far as the crew at audiomobile goes, they are one of hte best in the area for alarms, so i refer as many of my customers there as i can, infact, Al and Bo helped install my alarm in my car...that should say something about them I dont trust just anyone to work on my car hehe

but i think you shoudl seek out a few compustar dealers, get a few more quotes, and compare and then make a decision, just getting a quote of 1100 and calling it too expesnive maybe a bit rushing it

as far as clifford goes, its not what it used to be, DEI owns CLifford now...so...take that anyway you want

if te alarm retails for 600, 875 installed with the accessories is a steal...

probably take most of a day to do the alarm on that puppy...

either way, glad i can help...

I've had three alarms put in my cars and they were all done by Audiomobile. One CRX years ago and 2 Z's. It's not the cheapest, but you know Al will take care of you and the install is clean.

The beauty of it is that Al tested everything on his car first so he can give you all pros and cons whereas other dealers may not have done their due diligence.
