So I am going to get my rims powdercoated black satin but I want to keep the polished lip. Is this how I take the center portion off as this is the part I want powdercoated? I circled the bolts in red.
Also isn't it easy to drop the section back in and go around and re-torque all the bolts.
Price for each rim is $60

Really can't help you here Paul. Never taken one apart. Wonder what the torque is on those when putting back together.
Sealant in thread holes I would think too, so no air leakage afterward, but don't know if threads go all the through wheel.
Powdercoating FTW!! More durable than paint

Well those are the bolts I have to remove, looks like they do not go through all the way to the wheel but just clamp on to the inside of the rim. Taking them all apart this weekend and throwing my spare set of rims on.
The guy said it takes 2 days for them to do the job so I should have them back Tuesday
just in time for the BBQ.
