i think Zs, and other sports car, with two seats, tend to see more turn over than say...a four door family car or wagon, like mine...at least this is my perception over the year doing audio for people and keeping in touch with them and seeing how often they switched cars...

i think having a more overall well rounded and practical car tend to get people to keep them for longer periods of time...where as two seaters...sometimes the lack of abiltiy to fit more people, or baby seat AND wife and lack of space generally tend for people to reach for a four door sometime in the non-too distant future.....

but then again Ravi, you arent relaly looking to get into a four door family car are ya

As soon as I find my 94-96 Acura NSX. Just waiting for the right color and year with the right price. No hurry.

Interesting thoughts guys. I'll chime in after a few more people reply hahaha. Good to see some of the "o.g.'s" in this thread

As far as my Z goes, it will probably stay in the family (giving it to my younger brother as-is until I find the replacement). In the meanwhile I'm still in search mode, trying to figure out what will be a worthy replacement.

I'm glad it's not leaving the family. Although there may be faster cars out there, I just could not let my car go. Now I gotta decide if I should just dumpe a few more mods in it till I get the new ride (near January). I really wanted to do the full asuka treatment.

Yeah, everything was pracitcally sold. It was a tough choice.

Ok I dont know how to say this...I don't know if I want to give it up =( I keep watching these damn turbo videos and it is messing with my head. I dont knwo what to do. I just keep thinking that at the point where the car is built+TT, I wont ever be able to sell it for anything reasonable. E.g. a point of no return.

Not sure if it is wise for me to switch platforms. I like the Z. Not sure if it is worth switching to the Porsche or the NSX.

=(

i plan on keeping it forever, i finish college in about a yr and a half and by the time i get a good paying stable job it would probably be worth less than 10k and its basically pointless to sell. so i am going to keep it 4EVER

Go all out with the Z Ravi. It may not be a porsche or a M3 but it can sure take one once FI. Also alot cheaper to maintain. Good luck with your decisions

I keep cars for a long long time. (the devil you know rather than the devil you don't know).

I sold a 19 year old Porsche when I bought my Z. It was in great shape but I needed a car I could use for long trips to go see my dad without any concern about the reliability of the car. (If it were strictly a daily driver around the bay I'd still be driving my P car). I spent a lot of time and money to keep the car in shape. It had 200K on it and still ran great. Interior was in great shape. Body and paint too. I loved that car. Sold it to a friend that will also treat the car right.

I'm with you on that one. As this is my sixth Z, I'm kinda hooked. But, if they make a better man trap .... I'll buy it.

Honestly, i'm thinking forever. I love this car. Even teh problems it gives me sometimes, i know all cars have problems. Look at the supra adn their price value. Hopefully they can discontinue the z so our cars are more rare. you never know.
