Love to make my own lane on the 80-65 ramp you mentioned below the white line. Do the same thing at Taylor exit. One of these days I will probably kill myself on that exit thought. I try to take it at freeway speeds and it is a 25MPH bend I think. Herra banked.
get moar ****, you no slow down and people go

I'm not worried about passing smog broski. I was just asking if there will be an issue with no muffler at all for the visual part.

And hellz yea, I'mma follow your direction as well. I thought that's how it already was. lol

LMAO I about killed myself on the 80 to 65 exit when I came out for the breakfast meetup Curtis and Hal had at Mel's one Saturday. Wasn't used to the curve, hit it pretty fast and had the rear end decide it wanted to try and be in front after I overcorrected while trying not to fly off the left edge of the ramp. ooooops. It didn't get very far but damn it woke me the eff up.

As far as the exhaust tone, yeah if you're driving it hard and hitting higher RPM's that would explain it. Hit around 4500+ and it just starts growling like a **** at least in a stock HR it does. First time I did that I had to go find a towel to clean up the drool.

my car sounds mean as hell from 3-3500. as for that onramp tho, i usually come in at 75mph, late brake/ heeltoe down to 2nd at around 45mph and slowly ease into throttle half way around turn, hit the apex and floor it out lol. i drive my car like its a damn race car and people dont seem to mind ... well around corners. driving straight or around town im granny style

I really need to learn how to heel-toe. I've read about it on the various sites but seems everyone does it a bit different. Or just get a 370 with the rev matching lol.

Yeah I've seen two main techniques, and read the Z is kind of a pain to heeltoe on so I'm not sure which one is the best one to use for the Z. The two I've seen is brake with left edge of foot and roll your knee outward so the right edge of your foot blips the throttle, the other is roll your knee inward and actually use your heel to blip it. Which are you using?

It doesn't help that my daily use shoes have really thick soles. I use the shoes from a company called MBT and it's where Sketcher's got their idea for their Shape-ups shoe (same kind of design). I need to get something thinner for real driving though.

ive rolled my ankle way too many times skateboardin in life to be able heel toe....my foot wont get the right angle.... so i just do my best to not use the brakes and just rev match on downshifts....

i wear skate shoes like DC's or stuff like that, or i wear running shoes like nike shocks. i usually brake with the ball of my foot on the bottom right of the brake, then roll my hell right and with my hell just catch the gas enough to blip it to revmatch. i can do it in pumas but i have to roll my heel out more

i been there. i broke my right ankle 3 times in highschool. landed on it once in basketball sophomore year and broke it in 3 places, thing snapped right in half, was nasty lookin haha. but a year after that same thing happened, then senior year i broke it by running into a hole in outfield on the baseball team

lol that's what I was doing on the Summer's End run last year. Worked ok, but I'd rather learn how to actually do it properly.

Ah ok so you're using the technique where you actually use the heel instead of the right edge. I'll have to play with that, might work better on the Z since the brake pedal sits so much higher. If I use the right edge of the foot technique it seems like I have to roll too far to get a decent blip unless I want to shove the brake pedal through the floor and engage the ABS.

yeah. i dont extend my heel out far at all since our gas is so low i catch just enough of the low part of the pedal to get where i need to rev it up
