if you are in san jose you can find 100 octane at this 76

3010 Almaden Expressway

it's alot cheaper than the 100 octane at the 76 in mccully which was 8 bucks a gallon when i went back. over here it's something like 5 dollars a gallon

$5.69. I just filled up. There is another 76 in RWC off of El Camino with 100; I do not know the price. Speed Merchants, now called Goodie's, in San Jose sells 100, 110, 112, 116, etc., by the 5-gal jug.

What are you running that you'd like >91?

which city college? san jose? san fran?

i had no problems shipping my z over from hawaii. it just took forever (about a month) and my car was super dirty. just get you car tuned for different octanes like 91 and 100 and maybe more if it needs to boost higher

i sold my z a while back so i dont know what i could do with a oahuz sticer lol

ahh loose money. haha well judging by your signature...an 808supraclub maybe? lol. anyway i found a 76 in redwood city that pumps out 100 octane. i dont like the idea of having to drive 50 miles home and back just to get some gas. but gotta do what you gotta do. im gonna just do a mix. 5 gallons 100 octane and 10 gallons regular. so everytime i need gas imma have to bring a calculator >.<. anyhow hopefully well be seeing my z in the bay area around soon ;-).

i got to city college of san fran

You can buy VP100 at the 76 in Livermore on Vasco. I think it's 6.25 a gal an comes in 5 gal cans. That the part I don't like... the tranfer. At Infineon of course you can pump 100 110 and I think 114. Further out, Sacramento Raceway on the way to Tahoe you can get 100 110 114 or 118 ... again in the can.

Default Octane

.

The 350Z NEEDS (for high performance DRIVING) 92++ octane (NOT just 92)

My Z --I ran 15gals. 92 and added 2.5gals. of 100 = 92.6 octane
reason for that mix was that the race octane guy from the old 76 gave me a formula (which I do not have any longer)
To mix above in tank worked ---Sometimes i would go 10gals. 92 and 5gals. 100 because i was driving more then 350 to 400 miles before getting to 100 octane again. So i would run 150 to 200 miles and put in enough Gas to get me home.
It takes the computer around 300 miles to re -adjust -- if octane got to low the car would knock BAD

..............................................

ViP 100 also at 76 On Alcosta San Ramon /Dublin Line east 1/2 mile from I-680
.

Addtional Information;

Many times it's cheaper to get 110 and mix with that .... Just make sure it's unleaded formula or you'll be sorry. I'm pretty sure I've seen that in VP. I'll check....

Yep, but it's effectively .... 109

VP Racing Fuels, Inc. is committed to being a good corporate citizen in its worldwide operations, being environmentally responsible, and obeying all applicable laws and regulations. VP encourages our distributors, dealers and customers to also be good citizens and obey applicable laws and regulations in the sale and use of VP products.

All VP fuels are available in 5- (19 liter), 15- (56 liter), 30- (113 liter) and 54-gallon (204 liter) pails and drums except where noted.

Oxygenated with ethanol, this CARB-legal fuel is specifically engineered for high-performance street cars including sport compacts, muscle cars, street rods and more. It's environmentally friendly and street legal throughout the U.S. In applications with anything from 4- to 12-cyclinders or engines equipped with a turbocharger, supercharger or nitrous oxide system (NOS), StreetBlaze 100 will generate optimum power and performance. In turbocharged or supercharged applications, it allows an increase in boost without fear of detonation. NOS users can also leverage their higher octane ratings to step up to a more powerful nitrous oxide system. Dyno tests with a turbocharged application proved StreetBlaze100 generates up to 14% more horsepower compared to premium grade 91 octane unleaded gasoline. Designed for use in cast-iron head engines with CRs up to 13:1 and aluminum head engines up to 14:1. Works well on the latest generation of electronically-controlled turbo engines. Contains no metal compounds and won't harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors.

• Color: Orange
• Oxygenated: Yes
• Motor Octane: 96
• R+M/2: 100
• Specific Gravity: .746 at 60° F

C10
The best non-oxygenated unleaded racing gasoline available. It meets ASTM D-439 standard specifications for automotive gasoline and is street-legal in most states. C10 does not contain any metal compounds and will not harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors. Used by national champions in SCCA and IMSA stock classes.

• Color: Clear
• Motor Octane: 96
• Research Octane: 104
• R+M/2: 100

MOTORSPORT 101
This 101 octane (R+M/2) fuel allows an increase in timing and more powerful nitrous oxide systems, with substantial power increases compared to premium pump gas. Designed for CRs up to 13:1 in cast-iron head engines and up to 14:1 with aluminum heads, MS101 is particularly effective in turbo- and supercharged applications. It contains no metal compounds and won't harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors.

• Color: Yellow
• Motor Octane: 99
• R+M/2: 101
• Oxygenated: Yes
• Specific Gravity: .800 at 60° F

MOTORSPORT 103
MS103 provides power and protection equal to some leaded racing fuels. Compared to Motorsport 101, it allows even more aggressive timing and higher compression-up to 14:1 in cast iron head engines and up to 15:1 with aluminum heads. Can allow doubling of stock boost - consult your engine builder. Also contains no metal compounds and won't harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors. AMA legal for Supercross & Outdoor Nationals.

• Color: Red
• Motor Octane: 99
• R+M/2: 103
• Oxygenated: Yes
• Specific Gravity: .743 at 60° F

MOTORSPORT 109
Produces more power than any other unleaded fuel. Recommended for higher boost applications with CRs up to 11:1 or naturally aspirated engines up to 13:1.

• Color: Clear
• Motor Octane: 101
• R+M/2: 105
• Research Octane: 109

MS 100 is the same as Streetblaze from what I understand.
Below are the specs:

Unleaded
StreetBlazeTM 100 – This fuel is specifically engineered for high-performance street cars including sport compacts, muscle cars, street rods and more. Oxygenated with ethanol, it’s street legal throughout the U.S. NOS users can also leverage its higher octane rating to step up to a more powerful nitrous oxide system. Dyno tests with a turbocharged application proved StreetBlaze 100 generates up to 14% more horsepower compared to premium grade 91 octane unleaded gasoline. Designed for use in cast-iron head engines with CRs up to 13:1 and aluminum head engines up to 14:1. Works well on the latest generation of electronically-controlled turbo engines. Contains no metal compounds and won't harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors.

This is what I have been using. I'd like to find MS109 but it is hard to come by.... Go Figure ;-(

ok i have a question, I've always heard about higher octane gas but i thought it was harmful to the engine? I'm pretty much stock would getting 91+ be harmful or dangerous.

Nah, you can easily take 95-100 Octane. Personally, I can't see wasting the money so I add 5gals(100) to 10gal in the tank for ~95 Oct.

At the track in my Firebird I run 10gals(100) to 5gal in the tank or that mix for 97.5 Octane. It save a little money and is good for a couple tenths in that car. At $5 a gallon it does save from $15-30 a tank.

For our race car we were using leaded 114 straight. Now I think we're looking at the 118 stuff with the new motor build but, I hope not.

Let me add. In most stock 350Z 91 Octane is all you need unless you are racing then you might want to bump up the octane so that your computer will throw in more advance and you won't go to knock retard condition. Mostly is a stock Z you just want to make sure you keep it out of knock retard condition so a dab will do ya. Maybe 2.5gal per tank as the poster above states is all you really need to bump it up a point or two. That's what you have to figure out. ;-)

The other thing to consider for drag strip and limitted road course work is running less total gas and adjusting the mix accordingly. This save weight and helps improve times.
