new 350z owner here !
hi everyone, i just made the change from subie to nissan. i got a 2003 350z touring model. i bought it from a private party. its a 2003 with 13k miles on it. since its older than 3 years, the warranty is up. so i have 2 questions, 1: should i buy a warranty for it? if so, should i get it from nissan? question 2: is there anything i should know about the car? just in general? thanks !

I have a 03 that Ibought used 3 or 4 months ago.
It has been great.
But I did have the rear axle click, they fixed it under the drive train warranty,
If you have the problem make sure you bring the tp read out with you, and you should not have a problem.
I do have the window streaks but I don't let them bother me.
Other than that just drive and enjoy.

Congrats on the new ride. Some of the problems I have heard the '03 has is rear axle click, window streaking, early window motors failing, and a tire feathering issue just some things to keep an eye out for.

axel click - At some Nissan Dealerships, you REALLY have to fight for them to fix the click for free under warenty (this click is nothing harmful, just annoying @ 1st or Reverse)
window motors - expect both of them to go out, (my car: driver-side window went out @25k miles / passenger-side window @40k miles)
Fuel-pump recall - It's a recall so its free to fix! If the previous owner hasn't yet
Ignition start (rare) - '03 '04 some Z's won't start randomly, due to either; chip in key isnt sending right signal, or loose wiring behind the clutch or battery.
Other than that, have fun with the car! NICE you got one with only 13k miles.
