Default My Commuter Car Got Stolen Today

Well, just wanted to ask my Norcal peeps to keep an eye out for a White 1991 Honda CRX. With a rear license plate only number 42HE385. Apparently, some punk or punks decided to steal my commuter car today. It was stolen at around 6:15pm-6:45pm at the woods apartments in the Foxwood complex in San Jose, CA.

I just got home from work and parked it. And went into my apartment to take a shower. Was getting ready to go eat some dinner with my girlfriend. As we walked to her car I noticed my car was missing from its parking spot. Man was I pissed freaking losers had to still my one way insurance commuter car. Already called the cops and had them write a report up. The cops will probably find the damm car with everything missing. I posted some pictures of my car below.

Anyways, if anyone spots it send me a PM or email me at xalents2001@yahoo.com

My car was locked and was parked in an area with light. They probably had a key that got into hondas easily. Because, there was no broken glass were I parked my car. Hondas are so easy to break into though.

number 42HE385

Hey drifter, is that a typo in your license plate number or do you have a personalized plate? Just want to make sure on the correct plate.

Nope, that is the correct license plate number 42HE385. I never changed the license plate number when I bought the car. Maybe the previous owner personalized it.

Yes, bought the car from a private seller. I would love to drive by his house but, he lives about 1 hour and a half a way.

Thanks Vince. I just got the JDM steering wheel put on to. Most likely the car is in some chop shop.

Damn...sorry to hear. I'll keep an eye out as well. Hondas are unfortunately really easy to break into (especially the older models). All they need to do is use a simple slim jim tool which doesn't cost much. One of my old friends showed me how easy it was by using his own car as an example (he had a civic). Was able to open the locked door in just a couple of minutes.

Glad they found the car. Those items are easily replaceable. At least your car is still on one piece..

Yeah, I'm glad I got my car back. But the car doesn't look the same anymore. It has more dents on it now. The front side fenders don't look like they used to. Car doesn't even start up anymore. And getting another ECU is easy but, getting it programmed will cost some more money. Odd thing is they didn't steal the acura motor and transmission.

I think I'm just going to sell the car now as is or just part the remaining pieces. Just bummed as the car just sits at my brothers house. And I have no motivation to get it back on the streets again. Knowing once it is working again it might get stolen again.

Sorry to hear that man, sucks not having your daily around...even if just for a short period of time. This is why my commuter is a Teal Green Protege...no one wants that car haha. Glad to see that you recovered it though.
