From the calls I have been making it seems as though some people are quoting me MSRP... then I gotta throw some names around about how they are offering me below anywhere from 500-1000 MSRP.... the tunes quickly changes to well yah we can do that too. I pretty much tell them to stop wasting my time and give me a real quote. otherwise have a nice day and expect to hear from me again.

I got mine at Boardwalk Nissan in Redwood city from Russell. I got the fully loaded 6 s tour with gps for 37,500. that was about 1500 bucks less than msrp on the nissan site. Russell was great but their service dept is really lame. Buy the car there take it elsewhere for servicing.

the broadwalk service dept. really sucks. if you have to service the car at the dealership, go to Serramonte Nissan.

I went around and around with all these dealer's out here. Boardwalk seemed like the ones most willing to make a deal. I actually used their price as leverage against the other dealerships. But none of them would find me a Daytona Blue. If it wasn't on their lot, it was too much trouble.

Bay Area Salesman: "What, I have to work for my money? What, you want me to give you less than MSRP AND find the Car? Nah, I'm going to sit in this chair and watch my butt grow."

So I ended up going to Reno and buying mine - and it was so much more pleasant than anyplace in the Bay Area - and they gave me the deal I wanted.

Hey Wannabe Z,

You are choosing the right market to buy a Z. The economy sucks, the EVO and STI are here and the RX8 is right around the corner. If we were in the middle of the year 2000 economy, you wouldn't be able to touch a Z for sticker.

To prove my point, I was in the Hilltop Nissan dealership (Richmond) on Saturday. They have five Z's in stock. The salespeople are following me around, asking me if I know anyone looking for a Z. Depending on your credit and negotiating skills, I would guestimate a Z could be purchased for $1500 to 2000 under sticker there. Especially if you bought at month end.

Wherever you buy, you'll own a superb vehicle!

Placed my order in late Oct. and got MSRP when most were asking $2500.00 to $5000.00 over (Connel Nissan in Oakland had a +10K markup on a track!). Anyway go to McKevitt Nissan in Berkeley and ask for Tony Giselli. He's very cool and on top of things. No hassles, no last minute switching, really straight forward, and they still let me wash / wax my car there on the weekends using their detailing supplies!

Call around and got my DB Touring 6mt from Stanfurd Nissan 1500 under MSRP (4.9% financing).

I didn't have problems with Stanfurd, but it seems many other people have had, key is calling around and usually talking to the internet sales managers.

My brother and I got ours @ MSRP from Bakersfield Nissan. Why Bakersfield? My parents live in Bakersfield and we've bought all our Nissans from the same dealership since our 1st purchase.

I second that... Boardwalk's service dept really do suck (do a search on some of my old posts for horror stories). I take my to capitol nissan. Simon takes good care of my Z!!
