I have footage of me following that RX7 through a couple turns. There were flames shooting out of his exhaust at every downshift, so it's not surprising that his rear bumper finally caught on fire. I hated being behind him...the freaking sound coming from that car gave me a headache.

BTW, Felipe, your 'friend' was quite concerned that the red flag thrown for the burning RX7 might have been caused by you. She said you're a nut, and that you're a likely 'red flag' candidate. hahaha...just thought I'd share that with you. She was genuinely concerned, I kid you not.

For any of you guys using the stock calipers, I've got an extra set of used raybestos race pads that I have no use for that will easily hold up to lapping days.

Dave, I'll be there. Ralph said he wants to work with me on getting my lines 'fixed'.

yeah I was watching you in your mirrors and you looked pretty lost. I was like what the heck, is this guy going to stop on 5? So I went around and got black flagged for it lol. The flag guy was nice about it and told me he thought you might have found a nice place to hang out and watch the action

Its all good though cause Evan who was driving a graphite grey evo on friday had a way worse incident a few weeks back when he did like three laps going over the top on 5 when everyone else that day was running the bypass that day. Now that would be embarrassing

Yeah, she told me afterwards I'm not that bad though! seriously hehe Haven't had any oh **** moments for a while now.

Not only the sound of the RX7 was bad, but it smelled like crap too.

Dave, I would like to sign up for the 12th. Kind of confused as to what group to sign up for, HPDE3? Another question, do folks who sign up for time trials get the same amount of track time as the HPDE groups or do they just run in the time trials slots?

Im pretty sure that time trials get the same 4 20min sessions that everyone else in hpde SHOULD get, but the nice thing about TT is that if theres an issue they will put more effort into getting you your track time unlike hpde when sometimes you just get skipped over if things are running far behind. Also Im pretty sure that hpde3 is full for both the 12th and 13th so if you want to get in I would suggest you get on the wait list real soon.

Thanks for the info, and you are correct. Hpde 3and 4 look full. Do I need a license from NASA to do TT?

Felipe, you belong in HPDE4. The TT guys get their own run group; four 20-minute sessions. Not sure about licensing...Dave would know.

Yes you do need a TT liscence to run in the TT group. Check out the website nasa-tt.com for more info. You can email Kevin Smith with any questions. I'm sure if you get the ball rolling now, you can get in on the 12th. Perhaps aliving can chime in here since he's been liscenced recently. Besides, he may be sidelined with a banana in the tailpipe giving us a clearer track. Did I mention, there is a lot of 'friendly competition' in TT

Im not sure exactly is its a license or not but I do know that there is some kind of test/ride along sign off process for TT guys. The TT directors name is Kevin. Hes a super nice guy, drives a 5.0 mustang in TTS. I would just shoot him a email and see what he has to say. When I looked last night hpde4 was still open so you might want to just double check and see if you might be able to squeeze in.

Thanks guys, I emailed Kevin. I wonder if he's the same Kevin Smith who is the AFM president.

I got approval from Kevin to sign up for the TT.

Accoring to the rules, my car would fall under TTC(16pts). Is this correct?

Car has:

4wheel BBK +2 ?
Hotchkis sways +2
SPL fron arms, SPC rear camber kit +4 ?
Quaife LSD +1
18x9.5 wheels with 275/35/19 NT01s +7

Thanks.

Don't forget to add +4 for the 275's (20mm over your base tire size of 255). Welcome to TTB! The good news is that running in TTB greatly reduces your chance of the banana in the tailpipe.

I thought brakes were free? Or is that just brake upgrades to the stock calipers?

Thanks Dave. Do the rest of the points look ok though?

So if I plan to run NASA all the time, I should get 265s instead then. Only +1

IIRC, your tires are 20mm over the base 255 width, so you have to add another +4

The TTB class is made up of super fast dudes/cars...good luck!
