Where do you local Guys go? I live in san jose, ca. Im not about to take it to the stealership to get it painted. I dont know of any good places over here. I dont have a kit yet. Im just trying to get an idea of where and how much im gana have to pay to get it painted.
I Take My To M&s Collision All The Time. Its Actually There Right Now Getting Work On, And I Also Happen To See Bradon (b_nasty) Car Over There Too. The Price Is Reasonable To Me, Not Sure For Other. I Was Also Told By Alot Of Peoples That Angle Also Do Great Work, But I Had A Very Bad Exceperience There And Never Going Back There Again. Ask For Rey At M&s If You Ever Decide To Go There And Say Johnny With The Silver 350z Send You. Hope That Help You A Little.

I was told by someone that White Oaks Auto Body in Campbell is good shop too. I have never done any body works with them. But I am going to go there too. So 07blk2005, if you wanna do it together, hopefully we can get cheaper prices.

I read a lot of good things about M & S on this board and when some ******* decided to rear end me because he did not think I was going to stop to make a right turn on a red light It's the law you @ss), but I digress.
I took my car to M & S Collision as they were listed on the Farmers insurance site. I figured since the car was going to be in for a bumper and new paint anyway, I would have them do my spoiler at the same time.
Keep in mind, I specifically said "do not mount the spoiler, I want to do that" at least three times. I also voiced concerns about the fine body line over the fender in the bumper being rubbed out as I have had problems with shops doing this in the past. I also made very clear I would spend whatever it takes to get the spoiler paint right and I was not in a hurry to get the car back, provided everything looked good.
I was assured everything will be great but am cautioned that the paint match will be hard. It's PPW, I know it is hard, I said as long as it is within reason, I can live with it.
I picked my car up yesterday and frankly I am not impressed. Sure enough the body line on the drivers side is soft. Something is also going on with the base or pearl in different parts of it because although smooth, it looks like the surface of the moon under the clear coat. There is a section on the drivers side that still shows 1000 grit sand paper (near where the body line is soft). I should have had them pull it under the florescent lights, the shade on the car with the sun on the street made the whole think look batter than it was.
The spoiler is another mater all together, the paint has runs in the top, several pinholes on the leading edge and some random bumps. I seriously could have done better with my pump spray cans I used on my speaker box. To top it off they mounted it, using the wrong size bolts, with nothing to keep the water out of the bolt holes (I had some gaskets at home for this), CROOKED! Not so crooked that it was obvious when I first picked it up (although there was a gap on the lead edge on the left side I did not expect because I had lapped the spoiler to the trunk using carbon paper to find all the high spots).
It is odd to me how in my garage, when I don't have to rush home to let the dogs out, when I am just looking at it, everything is so obvious.
This is just another customer service disappointment in the Bay Area. The guy in the front glad handing clearly has no control over the guys in the back doing the work. The words between us useless.
I am going to call them later when they open and arrange to take the car back. My problem is, I have more money than time. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
So bummed,
Chris
