This was the first one that said they would donate items and really help us out to get it going. So our thoughts were get in with Hooters and then we can move it closer next year. Far enough in advance to plan a day trip, (like you said good cause).
Bill and I will be going we can all caravan up from south bay.

 

The hooters girls will be judges (as will others) and will be handing out prizes and available for pictures.

 

Make sure you signup, this will be a fun (and worthwhile) day!

 

LOL... They cant even get my order right how can we expect them to judge a contest...


I might go. Im suppose to be in L.A. around that time so depending on gas prices I might be down. I sure would like to get a picture with a bunch of Hooter's girls around my car and some inside.

 

Its a good thing all they have to do is pick the "prettiest" car then! LMAO!!!

If you haven't been to the actual HOOTERS location, be advised that the parking lot there is small. So if you want choice parking .. get your entries in ASAP!

Let me find out what time they are assigning parking/show places and then I will post caravan info...

 

I just want to point out ... while ZONC would like everyone to participate by being IN the car show. You won't be turned away if you just show up. (NOTE: You won't be affored the preferred parking - reserved for the car show participants).

But you will be able to participate in raffle drawings; make donations; check out the car show sights (!!) ...

If you're IN the show .. you will be eligible for an award (I'm not sure what the awards will be); and you'll probably get a photo op w/the HOOTERS girls. NOTE There will be NO FORMAL "photo-op" opportunities arranged by ZONC nor HOOTERS.

I'm told the HOOTERS girls will be car show judges ...

I may have mentioned this previously, but a few months ago - the local corvette groups met at that HOOTERS. They had over 200 vettes in attendance. So you know they filled the HOOTERS parking lot .. and overflowed into surrounding area parking lots!

The local Z community (within 2 hours) should be able to exceed that number, but coupled with the 510 and Roadster groups?

I'd recommend being in the show .. if for anything, getting preferred parking.

You won't want to miss this event!

On-line registration closes on July 7th. One of the benifits of pre-registration is that I will know how many parking spots to block off for the event. On-site regristration will be taken and "preferred parking" will be assigned based upon available space (that will be allocated based upon entries received).

JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER: THE CUT-OFF DATE FOR ON-LINE REGRISTRATION FOR THE ZONC CHARITY CAR SHOW IS JULY 7th (This is the last day there is enough time to process PayPal event payments)!

We will take sign-ups at the event however it would make things a lot easier for all of us (eg- planning for parking and getting the cars ready for the show) if you sign up on-line.

For those of you planning to just come out, there will be parking available in the overflow area. You will NOT be allowed to park in the preferred area with the cars who are entered into the show... you are of course welcome to participate in the raffle and are encouraged to make a donation to the Susan Koeman Breast Cancer Foundation, a donation box will be available at the ZONC sign in tent.

On a side note: The event is coming together very well, hopefully we'll get some last minute entries to have a larger showing of cars. A number of donations have been received for the raffle, ZONC 100.5 plans to make an appearance from ~2:00 to 3:00 PM...... Hope to see you there!
