Get on the brakes when you are far enough ahead, but I'm sure you already know that. I got on the brakes one night out there and I didn't realize I was looking at the car at the starting line and this STI was in my blind spot and he blew by me like I was standing still. I was pissed at myself for two weeks.

lol. yeah i was on the brakes. i guess not enough though, i must have been way ahead. i think my trap was like 88-90 so i obviously slowed down a lot, i think i was just a boatload ahead of where i ought to have been

It's strange about that. Last time I was out there I coasted for about 100 feet and still turned a low 13.1, but had a 90mph trap. Then you wonder what you would have turned if you kept your foot in it.

That's why I have a hard time letting off the gas. Ya never know when it'll be "that" run.

Hoooper - what do you mean faster track? I think some feel Sac is faster, but having been at both tracks, my best times are within .1s of each other between them.

.1 could be the difference between a 13 and 12 for me. I have seen a .2 difference between them.

what he said ^^^. a lot of people seem to think that sac town is a faster track. ive never been there so i dont know, but it seems to be too high of a percentage to overlook

the good: 2-step and speed shift worked well. really good and consistent launches for street tires.

the bad: im retiring the car as far as drag racing goes. the constant refusal to get into 3rd is just too much for me. its no fun to go out, pull great 60's, rip 2nd and then get stiffarmed at 3rd. i coasted through the finish line 3 times out of six runs tonight...FTL!!!!!

any suggestions for a cheap RWD that comes v8 stock and isnt a huge boat, for drag ONLY use of course
