well lets see if i can get this back from OT...

the borla is a well flowing exhaust and since it is slip fit the fitment isnt a issue (since there is so much play).

IMO the exhaust isnt loud enough for me at all w/out test pipes and or headers.

if you do go with tp's it picks up a rasp that reallllllly got on my nerves. there is a cure for it though. get a shop to cut out the H-pipe and replace it with a magnaflow muffled X-pipe and if you go that route you might as well cut out the resonators and get straight pipe instead.

..... So basically DONT get this exhaust. You are going to chop this thing up so much that you are basically using the muffler and tips.

If you do stick with it though it sounds good. obviously will sound different than any other.

I got it and then put tp's on before I got around to doing that whole x-pipe thinga majig i went FI and cant really hear much else.

NOTE: the rasp that is really annoying can only be heard from in the cabin mostly outside it just sounds dope. it is something with the h-pipe the air just gets all jacked up (i put the car on a lift to see why).

Wow, the only rattle I had was from a exhaust bracket, after fixing that not a sound except a low growl. Maybe your right about not sounding aggressive as i would like. I didn't have to make any other ajustments after 2 weeks i went back under to tight'n and check bolts. that's it.

If you really want the borla, I know a shop that will custom make the piping and use a magnaflow X-pipe for less than $600.

I like mine and have had it since 03. I don't think exhaust or CAI add much HP, but they make the Z sound better. Borla had the best rating when Sport Z mag or whatever it was called when tested them all.
IMO the biggest HP improvement in exhaust would be test pipes.

Im not worried about HP gains just looking for a little louder deeper tone. I think this would be the only hp mod i would do, the car is killer as is. So by the sounds of it i shouldnt have the rasp if i only install the borla system on its own.

I don't have a rasp! after all this the borla might not be as aggresive sounding enough for you. (low Growl) but it is a quality exhaust and a good choice. good luck in your exhaust hunting.
