Alvin,

I'll be there; instructing, and maybe driving in D. Been trying to get my car fixed, but the zero oil pressure problem on start-up is still intermittent and reoccurring. The way it works now is that if I have oil pressure within 5 seconds after cranking the engine over, I'll drive, if not, I'll leave it parked and miss my session.

Sometimes, I prefer group C because the last time I drove in D, there were quite a few cars turning 1:47-1:59's. I was a moving chicane.

See you there Friday,
Don ('04 SS #013)

It looks like it will be cooling down to a pleasant 105 degrees on Friday according to weather.com. Since I have not gotten around to that oil cooler install that I have been thinking about for 4 years now, I'll be parked in my air conditioned office. Watch those temp gauges (both driver and car)
Stay hydrated and have fun!

I'm sure they'll have the outdoor showers on. You can "clean up" there! 110 degree water - yey!

Make sure you guys settle things off the track, too. I want to see the winner on tape.

We should bet on it.

Alvin: Hey, wait, hold up! I don't have any cash, but I do have the pink slip to my car
Mike: Wait, you just can't climb in the ring with Ali 'cause you think you box!
Alvin: [points to Mike] He *knows* I can box! So check it out, it's like this: If I lose, winner takes my car clean and clear. But if I win, I take the cash, and I take the respect!
Scott: [laughing] Respect?
Alvin: To some people, that's more important
Scott: ...That your car?

I think I'm going to buy one of those shade structures. It should keep my cabin from climbing >105F....and maybe even keep my paint from peeling.

Get to the track early and you can park under the shade structure. Or, if you're a baller like Alvin, rent a garage. We used to have large groups of Zs go to T-hill, so we actually would rent a garage and split the cost. Then most of our guys had the bug stolen from them by their adjacent vaginas, which left just a few of us soldiers remaining.

Roadster is just not safe enough to drive even 8/10ths on the track.
ie. if I were in the roadster last time when I spun into the infield after Turn1, I wouldn't be alive!
