looks like the 370z will be at SF AUTO SHOW. this means we'll be able to sit in it- not sure if that'll be the case at zcar garage.

This is pure speculation, but I think you'd have a better chance to see it up close at ZCG versus the SF Auto Show (assuming it goes there). If it's like the Skyline, the SFAS had it roped off, yet we could sit in it, etc., at the Blackhawk show which was a few weeks later.
I could not agree more, I had a chance to sit in the GTR at BlackHawk and again at a ZONC picnic. Your best chance to possibly sit in it, is either at ZCG or cruise out with it to Nissan of Elk Grove.
All, check it out and sign up for the limited show and shine.

.
the latest model z has been available to sit in and otherwise inspect on the show floor at the SF Auto Show for the past 5 years- there may be one or two people ahead of you, but it's never been thronged in my experience. hell if you get there early, you can even steal the gear shift ****!
(do the exhibitors take the ***** off in advance at these trade shows, or are they actually stolen by douchebag attendees?)

OK .. I'll post up for this topic ...
1) I have been told conflicting stories regarding the 370Z actually being at the SF Show. These conflicting stories come from the same source. The only way to know for sure is to pay the admission fee for the SF show and find out.
2) Z Car Garage IS going to have the 370Z there on Friday, 21 Nov. The Show times are 3pm to 7pm (it's supposed to get there by 2pm)
3) Nissan of Elk Grove is supposed to show the car 11:30AM to 3:00PM (the latest I heard). Rob/Z Car Garage is supposed to be driving the 370Z from ZCG to NoEG that Saturday morning (current start time is 9AM if you want to caravan).
You need to contact Rob at ZCG for actual times.
4) There have been rumors as to the times at NoEG. I've been working both with sources in the bay area and with nissan. I am the one setting up the show-n-shine area. The times I provide are the times given to me by both the bay area and nissan.

the car is pictured under the NEW RELEASES section of the SF AUTO SHOW website. they don't put that info together out of thin air- they receive it from the manufacturers.
