Anyone caught up in the Baily raid last night?
I saw it on the news at the gym, reading the CC so I don't have much but from what I could tell there was supposed to be a street race at 1:30 on Bailey in South San Jose (races happen there all the time).
Police closed off the ends of the street and wrote tickets for "illegal modifications" and stuff according to the news.
Chris
Edit: I'm so pathetic I can't even spell "Bailey" right in the subject. So sad

Police broke up a large crowd of at least 200 people early this morning that had gathered in South San Jose to watch illegal street racing.
About 200 vehicles were lined up along Bailey Avenue, near Santa Teresa Boulevard, when more than a dozen San Jose police and California Highway Patrol officers descended on the gathering around 1:30 a.m. Police issued four citations, according to officer Jermaine Thomas, a San Jose police spokesman. Police made no arrests.
Thomas said the long stretch of Bailey Road that comes down from the hill to the light at Santa Teresa is popular for street racing.
Typically, anyone caught racing will be cited and have their vehicle towed, according to Thomas. Police may also issue citations for violation of emissions codes.

I live around the corner from there, it is right out front of IBM research, the road is black from burnouts.
While driving back from Almaden Valley, I have driven through when people were lined up on the side of the road waiting to start but I have never seen actual racing there.

RobZ350, I don't think they towed anyone, looks like they got there before any racing took place and used the roundup as a warning.
I know, I have been so out of it, things are starting to turn around so I plan on being more sociable and showing up again. I'll try and pay more attention, I swear.
Right now I am looking for some new tires for my Nismo's (long story), the stock 2004 18"s are a little embarrassing, all small and sunk in (no offense to those with stock 18s...
(look at me going all OT in my own thread, you know I'm out of it)
