Default NCRA Thunderhill 09/25

Just trying to get more Z out there on thunderhill. Only $125 thu NCRA:
http://www.ncracing.org/events.php

We can probably meet up in Bayarea somewhere and drive up there together. Anyone interested? $125 is a steal for a full track day with at least 5 sessions!

I will be in my Orange Z there.

Most in the NorCal forum do more show stuff with their cars than track stuff, however, there are 5 or 6 of us that are pretty dedicated to running on the track and go often with NCRC, speedventures, trackmasters, unlimitedlaps, greenflag, PCoA, HOD, etc., etc.

I attend 8-10 track events per year, and 10 or so autocrosses per year in addition.

I might register for this. I haven't run thunderhill with the cyclone in a while.
I'll be at thunderhill the following weekend on Oct 3-4 with NASA, but running it backwards.

nice! loved your wheels. I really need to take the Z to the track. I just dont want to go on stock pads, and dont want to spend money on new pads if i am going to take the Z only a couple times to the track.

what group where you planning on running in? i see you have 4 track days only. i myself only have about 10-12.

i am trying to get into spec miata racing by next year, so i have built the car to those specs and try to get out as much as my school loans allow.

nice seeing more and more Zs out there. i need to get a ride in one!

Yeah, I just started this year.
Should've been in Solo2. Solo1 was mixed w/ the driving school so some of the ppl were pretty slow.

I need to work on the heel-toe technique. really sucking at it or too concentrated into the braking that I don't downshift until after the turn or brake, downshift, more brake. Definitely slowing me down.

yeah i was lucky that i was really interested in how to heel toe ever since i started driving. i practiced in my old car all over town going into turns, and even coming to stops. by the time i got to the track i knew how to do it. It will get you a lot faster! it has to just come naturally, you have not think about it and it will just flow while braking in the braking zones before the turns. it takes some practice.

yeah some of my friends where in solo 1. White 89 bmw e30, it was his second track day. and another black miata w/ no hard top and red memory fab seats. he was pretty quick my sunday.

I can't make this.. too much going on with work

Late Oct/early Nov looks realistic for me. It'll give me some time to get a better seat and some dedicated wheels/tires. Roasted the re760's at the last event
